I'd go with the cobra if its a 2 way. For half the price of the valentine, although IMO the ratings could be innacurate... i dont trust them. anyways the valentine is really nice but pricey.
you know my vote i hope it helped

It sends a signal and finds any Police activated radar sensors and if it does it sends the signal back warning you. There are different settings for different ranges/distances.
I would have to go with a Valentine V1. No question. It has 1+ mile range in almost all directions, not to mention it tells you which direction. It costs a bit more, but I have an uncle that owns a 2001 M5 and a 1999 Porsche 911 TT and he drives them hard, I mean he peels out of parking lots and took us over 100 (me and my cousin) mph on a Georgia road, just after dark. He has never gotten a ticket since he purchased the V1.

Thanks. This is only used for street racing, right?it can, but can be used for regular day drivingBut why. You’d rather not go the short way because there is a cop, so you take the long why :?
It has no other purpose other then your illegally street racing or you are terrified of cops.

In the States there are a lot of cops. In Lakeway, if you go 2 mph over the speed limit, its a $270 dollar fine. Okay. Thats not bad. What's 270 bucks right? Well, now enters the fact that every time you get a ticket, it increases, almost double. AND your insurance rates go up every time. If you own two sports cars such as my uncle, its hard to keep those wild beasts under the limit, the tend to hover 10 - 15 MPH above the posted sign. He doesn't street race but he makes a lot of road trips (the company pays for the M5 and Porsche) and he wants to get there a little quicker. Its just if you're going 80mph on a highway, and the SL is 65, you don't want to get pulled over, its expensive as [crap].

Ka I think.. never asked. Heres a chart of Car & Drivers test:
http://img24.exs.cx/img24/4319/0a.jpg
It's $399.99, but I guantee that you will be wasting your money on the others. This is the only of the 4 - 5 that has a rear facing radar as well as a forward facing detector. The others say 360 degrees, but it's really 180. This will probably be on of the best $400 dollars you ever spent.

They are expensive, but also probably going to be obsolete in a month from now. What i learned from radar detectors is that no matter how advanced a radar detector is, the lazer or radar gun is just as effective or more...im not saying radar guns will always be better, but once a good product comes out for the laser guns, radar guns, or detectors, something new comes out to counter it. but just as long as you keep up with the market, you can always have a chance at staying ahead.
