Dacia 1300

In my city is a cool Dacia 1300 from 1979.
Dacia is an Renault 20 made in Romania.
This car that I was talking about has a Renault 5 GT Turbo engine with 180 HP and it has 1000 KG. Mabie 180 HP didn't sounds to mouch, but the stoc Dacia has only 54 HP sao 180 is cool from my point of view. It didn't looks to nice but i like the idea of a old, not good looking that is bether that a lot of new stock cars

Any idea of a good engine for a car like that?
Dacia is FWD so i would also like a AWD or RWD transision.
Any idea for me?

The engine bay is balck excluding the nice shiny piping. I appreciate old cars on their merits and I feel this car would be best served being a RWD.

Good Engine? How big is the current engine? I would have thought a CA18-Det would fit but I am not to sure of the price region.

Hello again.
I've didn't post for a while and i've seen some new replys to my thread since last time...

My mistake... Renault 12. :idea: and about 180 CP... whell the COX (car from the image) doesn't have any good documented site so isn't to easy to get 100% good information about it.

It's nice to bea back again.

ce inseamna frate sa fii roman..posteaza la noi pe vreun forum..nu in afara in pm
so ..what this guy wants is to put a lot of horse power in an old car worth no more than 500$..and to do this on a budget and drive it daily and hope it will last for ever..

coaie..sper k ai o masina pusa deoparte daca vrei sa tunaresti o dacie
si poti sa ii pui o turbina de gt turbo...daca gasesti..si trebuie sa decomprimezi motoru(deci schimbi pistoanele ,bielele)
intreaba pe forumuri la noi gen ..4tuning..gasesti acolo
sau pe dacia forum
zice acolo de unu kre forjeaza motoare de dacia,dar nu tin foarte mult
