I've noticed this last year when the Red Bull Racing team was presented but now is even more "strange" or impressive. I will explain: as you know you need a lot of money to operate a formula 1 team, we are talking af more than 100 million dollars per year but that's why the teams have sponsors, they pay to have their logos on the cars. Here is what impress me: Red Bull this year has two teams, Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso so it means that the energy drink company need to invest more money this year on two different teams but nevertheless they have no sponsors at all!!! They just say Red Bull or in the case of Toro Rosso have a big red bull painted on the car (I know there is a michelin logo and it says "cosworth" on the STR1)...how much money does Red Bull generates?

Everything you people said is true, but have a think about it. 2 teams - doesn't everytime mean 2 budgets. Yes each team has budget but Torro Rosso is that which tests some technologies (like the old V10 - why RBR has V8 and TR has V10? :-k:) ) and the other things that they are not sure will work good. And the chassis & lots of elements must be identical, no other way. Im sure they use lots of same elements.

yeah but each is guna cost about the same...Mmm. I don thing so... Indeed most of the money go for inventing & testing technologies, building the parts isn't too much costly. So the budget ins't devidet, yes is bigger (maybe more than Toyota's) but its not a full bidget for RBR and a full for TR, there are money who use both of the teams.

These teams are rather suprising. Klien is actually scoring points, and they have the only American driver. This team is a brand new, and it's not an automotive company, and they're doing excellent. In a couple of years, they're going to be on top.

why RBR has V8 and TR has V10?
because torro rosso was originally minardi before red bull bought them out and minardi had made a deal with the FIA that it could keep using restricted V10's to keep costs down and as torro rosso is basically the same team rebranded the deal still applies

Both cars are differents, the RB2 has a new chassis based on the previous RB1 but the chassis on the Toro Rosso STR1 is brand new, is not an evolution RB1 or an old Minardi PS05. That means that Red Bull is actually investing a lot of money on both teams...yes, they both use Michelin tires, Avus rims and probably the same fuel among other things which helps to reduce the costs but anyway they still need a lot of money to maintain both teams and they do it without external help (sponsors).

Then they really need more money. Thinking I do not often see people drinking Red Bull...

^That's exactly what impress me more, how the hell they make so much money by selling energy drinks!?! That's not exactly something you drink everyday.

GUYS Gerhard Berger is 50% owner of the team. Toro Rosso is operated by him and Red Bull so both of them has the money to o so. Gerhard has a big carrier company in Europe where Red Bull is 50% owner also.

I see it all the time. Red Bull isn't cheap either.
But I noticed it as well.
Once the drivers of TR get some more expreince I expect them to do very well.
Was is the RB team that had the restriced V10 and was passing a lot on the straights? Or was that someone else?

That was incredible, the 2 ex-Minardi cars with the restricted V10 finished 11 and 13 in front of the two Toyotas and Barrichello.

Oh, thats why it is so sweet to cover that bitter taste of bile . :D
Here we drink RB and vodka, i know it s not recomendet but effect is good... :smt098
Red Bull is one of best thinks happend to F1. New money allways comes handy. Torra Rosa will never be as good as RB, it s kind like Souber and Ferrari few years ago.
