Hi there to all supercar maniacs!I'm Alex,I also have a passion for sports cars and I am from Romania.It's a very nice country,regardless the fact that many bad intentioned people are trying to make my country's image look bad outside.We have our problems too,but we are full of good hope.
Anyway,I've just wanted to let you know that for almost 2 years there are street legal racing going on in Romania,maybe you did't know that.The fact is that there was a strong underground movement for many years and there were many problems with the police.So a couple of well-intentioned guys,who thought of the poor passioned people that liked to race one eachother,founded an amateur organization for street racing called No Speed Limit.With a couple of interventions to the autorities and good connection,they've started with a dream which has now become a wonderfull reality.
The police helped NoSpeedLimit to find locations for the racers.Most of them are in Bucharest,the capital city,on the internal-flights local airport,named Baneasa,and then on a straight-line road of 2km just at the outskirts of the city.The racings also tooked place in a a city in the western Romania,the city Timisoara,and the last one that tooked place there gathered more than 100 cars,30,000 spectators(!truth!) and also foreign contestents.There are 6 groups based on the car's power,ex:group A-up to 90hp,group B 90-115hp,group C115-150hp,and so on.
If you are a passionate who loves to sense the wonderfull smell of burned tyres and to feel the adrenaline rush of speed,you can visit our country and get a little taste of what is going on here.I can assure you that you won't regret it.There are many poerfull cars in Romania,for ex. tens of WRX,Thousands of BMWs,many of them quite powerfull,like M3 or M5,all generations,hundreds of Porsche,and many many sports cars like Gti,Opel Gsi,Renault Sport,Seat Cupra R,Peugeot RC,Alfa 147,Honda Civic,but also Ford Probe,Mustang,and even Ferrari(there are tens of them,I assure you).The next round is on 20th of March.For more details you can contact the founders of this organizations on the official website www.4tuning.ro.We shall wait you with great interrest!Good luck,and see you!
