Does anyone here go kart? (if its a verb....:-k)
I havent been in a while, but i've gone to go-kart racer in burlingame, CA. Its a blast, and knowledge of racing lines will keep you up with the pack and not lapped. Also i know that alot of tracks have kart days (in the bay area we ahve sears point/infineon raceway), but i havent had the oportunity to do that yet.

And does anyone here own or build htem? The ones ive driven got up to about 40-45mph, which isnt much in a car, but is a blast in a tiny kart, making tracion kind of hard to maintain around corners.
And who knows, maybe we could set up a SCF karting meet.

I go every now and then with my cousins and freinds. I have only been about 4-5 times but I love it.

It would be in the USA. Its where the most people are.

about what.
I didn't see his post because I clicked the link before he posted but he posted before me.
I don't think Rollin would really chose where it is because its not really offical.

Ive been go - karting before. Anyone can do it. The handling is so precise, and that was my first time driving any sort of motorized vehicle. I didnt let my foot off the accelerator once, and just relyed on the supreme handling of the go kart. The ones we were driving had a top speed of (just an estimation) 65 -75 km/h. Tons of fun IMO.

i wish... a decent one can run up to a thousand dollares or more if you dont build it youself.
And to build one yourself you have to aquire a motor, frame and all that stuff plus a LOt of free time...:(. Im trying to transfer toa UC so i dont have the time.

I race a 125 6 speed icc kart most weekends over here in ireland. It wud be alot more fun over in America cause of the weather, its wet most of the time over here, which usually results in damage. Its a brillant adrenilen rush when ur outbraking someone and shifting down gear from 90-100mph in about 2 sec. Takes alot of practise though, im at it years. I have a couple of vids up on this forum

http://www.sportscarforums.com/gallery/browseimages.php?c=90

and also on me website

alyance-racing.tk

if you want to know anythin that i can answer about karting just ask..

Go-karting is amazing, but i wouldn't say it's easy (of course it also depends on what kind of go-kart your racing on...)
I've been quite a few time ans it's a real blast, certainly with friends. A few hours away from where I live, there's one of the best go-karting tracks in France... it's amazing. I was doing this competition and once I reached the end of the straight i reached 95-100 km/h (60mph) and it feels amazing when you're so close to the ground... And the feeling of when you overetake somebody is great :D ...

Would go go-karting everyday if I could...

maybe. my advice, try to find a good go-kart with good handling. i went once; lost one race because my cart sucked, second time had a faster cart, understeer was a full fledged epidemic on it. as for building your own cart, i remeber from the time i was looking into that that it was possible to get honda grade parts somwhere.
