Tom Ellis Continues Winning Ways in Steeda Prepared Mustang

Tom Ellis in his Steeda Autosports prepped Mustang recently set a new American Sedan track record during an SCCA National race at Road Atlanta.
The Sports Car Club of America season begins early in Florida and last year's Southeast Division American Sedan Champion, Tom Ellis is continuing his winning ways.
Between the end of the 2005 season and the start of the new one, the talented Steeda technical team of Chad Coy and Sam Cory completely went through the Mustang preparing it for the new campaign. Their many talents and hard work have paid large dividends as Ellis in only his third year of SCCA American Sedan competition is becoming a familiar figure in winner circles all over the Southreast.

To date Ellis in his Steeda Autosports prepared and equipped Mustang has notched wins at Sebring, Homestead and Road Atlanta with a second place in Savannah due to an off road excursion late in the race. At the Road Atlanta event Tom set a new American Sedan track record. The circuit is one of the more difficult courses on the Southeast Division schedule, but Tom Ellis has enjoyed great success the past two years with his Palm Express sponsored Mustang capturing two wins, one third place finish, plus setting a class track record during three visits to the track.

The fast and friendly Virginian, now residing in Pompano Beach, leads the Southeast Division by 17 points in his quest for a second championship and an invitation to the SCCA Run-offs this fall.

Nice, isn't that the 6th turn? After the right left switch back?

Then again, it could just be a generic picture of it.

BTW, it's got Cobra logo's, which would lend credit to Bofo's S/C answer.

I found the record and Tom Ellis' record is 1:39.299. Tom's class is AS, reffering to Steve's question.

Edit- The picture taken is in Road Atl.

That looks like coming out of 5 heading down the short straight to 6. Of course, I never see it from that POV.

I did get to see a certain car turn a 1:33 in March at a NASA event.
