Murcielagos were restricted to 300BHP in GT300?? Wouldn't that have caused problems?

I have that video of the Suzuka race.Only 30,500 people were in attendance on raceday compared to 156,000 on raceday at Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix last year. It seems JGTC or Super GT as they call it these days is losing out in the popularity stakes. I think the rise of D1 GP has a lot to do with this.A win in the GT300 class is nothing to rave about.
I would like them to win in FIA GT.

Off thE Topic what type of GT racing do you guyz prefer?

production based FIA GT or purpose built race cars like the GT500 class
in JGTC? Plz choose between the two and not other forms of sports car racing that are not GT racing

I don't know how "a pair of Murcielagos has gone 11 seasons without a win". Murcielago is younger if you think about it.

It is not crap. It raced cars that were better so they put it in a class for slower cars. The Lambo could handle 300bhp.

Have you guys ever thought that they might've just put more weight in the car instead of restricting it to 300hp?

SLR, why don't you write a commentary instead of just posting links? Anyone can google Lamborghini.

If YOUR newsflash was important enough to start a thread; why wasn't it important enough for YOU to do some of the work?

-----

I saw the ALMS GT1 Krohn/Barbour Racing Murcis at the spring '05 race at Road ATL. I attended a paddock "chalk talk" presentation by Dick Barbour. Shweet race cars! It was nice to meet a former driver who contested in IMSA GT/GTX 935s around 1980.

Predictably; the Compuware(factory) Vettes lapped them in <20. Factory support was cancelled, so they were absent at Petit. Que lastima!

Maybe. I wish I saw the actuale race. I always wondered what Lambo's racing history is like.

The TV guyz weren't even focussing on the GT300 class till the very end Actuheally it should have been lambo 1-2 in GT300 if one of the cars didnot pull out at the last stgs due to mech failure

The same thing happened to Toyota at Lemans '98. They were winning and mechanical failures cost them Lemans.
