Did anyone else see in the first qualifying session the glitch in the system about the red flag? I wonder what happened and i felt some of the drivers where very hard done by.

^^ There was something wrong with the computers. They called a red flag for no reason at all.
Hope it's gonna be a good battle between Alonso and Schumi. And that Schumi will win!

There has been a European Grand Prix around for ages and has been held at Brands Hatch and other circuits, maybe from around the time when they needed to pad out the calender. But now its just an excuse for Germany to have 2 grand prix although it looks like it won't be around for long due to a pending FIA ruling stating that a country may only hold one grand prix in a season
What happening with Franck Montagny, brought in to be quicker and now he qualified just under ten seconds slower than Sato who doesn't exactly set the field alight with his pace. I'll be rooting for Button again but knowing his luck he'll probably run into a rabbit.

Did you know they called the GP at the Nürburgring the GP of Luxemburg in '97 and '98 to avoid reactions like yours.

"During the practice session this morning we found quite a good set-up for the car and continued with it in the afternoon, making only a small modification. But we encountered many problems during the Qualifying session. Firstly, when I had to stop at the FIA weight scales, there was a problem with the starter so during this time my tyres were out of the blankets and were getting cold. When I re-started and put on new tyres five minutes later, the red flag situation came up, so I could not make a lap time. It is a little disappointing as this was my first Qualifying with the team, but there were no major problems with the car and I am looking forward to the race tomorrow."

both titles (manufacturers and drivers) are now a little tighter now:
F.Alonso 44
M.Schumacher 31
K.Räikkönen 23
Renault 62
Ferrari 46
McLaren-Mercedes 38
Why are Maclaren mercedes always so bad now? they have serious problems although apparently there team boss hopes to have the most reliable engine by 2007.... no chance. It is so rare for both Merc drivers to finish the race, usually one has to retire with an engine problem.
