I would plan to get my AWDriven butt out of town to Sonoma in 2 weeks to see NASCAR on a road course. Grand Am and IRL Indycars race there late August.

I saw the champcar race today, it was so great, I can't really explain it. For the first time of my life, I have experianced the spirit of motorsports. I won't talk down on other motorsports anymore. I was at the hairpin, so I got to see all of the accidents. For more info about the track and the track pics, go to www.sanjosegrandprix.com . And, there was some drama between the drivers.....

I also saw some drifting. It was also interesting. Both the RX-7FD and RX-7 FC had V8's. There were some typical Silvias and Hachi-Roku's, but the torque monster Mustang GT w/ Ford Racing Parts kept the spotlight. Also, there was a Shelby GT500 as the pace car.....

It was a hilarious and interesting race.
