I just watched the qualifying... It was very interesting, especially the last part... Alonso was first, Kimi second and Michael third... I think that Kimi has a chanse of winning the race...

I just watched the qualifying aswell....and it sucked
Jenson Button all the way back down in 19th!
Other than Button, I want Raikkonen to win and Alonso DNF. Perhaps he should have some bad luck instead of Button:(:(:(:(

Kimi is ging to win, unless reliability robs him again of a win
In 2005, if he had the reliability of Alonso's car, he would have won the championship quite comfortably.

I agree about last year... His car was better than Alonso's and that was proven quite some times, not to mention that they had better tactics, with only one fuel stop... but the car broke down a lot... This year, they fixed the reliability (mostly), but they sacrificed the overall speed of the car... I think they spent way too much time making that (really awesome) "unique livery" instead of focusing on performance...

Whats the bet Webber's car will force him to retire again. His car has the worst reliability and always packs up when he is in a good position.

I agree with Vectra GTS, the championship is somewhat edging on 'boring' becuase there's no challenge for Renault and there should be more than a few teams challenging for race wins and pole positions and whatnot.

Ravenous
Jun 12, 2006, 8:45 AM
The reason the championship is boring is because F1 is the only sport when a 1/4 of a second in the pit lane can determine whether or not your on the podium at the end. I love watching Alonso win, it fills my heart with joy. If you'd watched it during the earlier years of the decade, then it was boring.

bennyboy
Jun 12, 2006, 9:02 AM
2004 wasn't boring, it was amazing, Schumi was amazing, 2005 was even better, with Kimi and Alonso battling out, I liked it, but so far I think 2006 hasn't lived up to it's expectations of being a fantastic championship.
We haven't seen some amazing overtaking moves, some neck and neck action, and I really hope that will happen in the rest of the season.

Ravenous
Jun 12, 2006, 9:13 AM
The only decent race I've seen in ages was this years Melbourne GP, and that's for all the carnage. As for overtaking, did you even catch Monaco? Fisichella pulled off some awesome stuff in the middle while Schumacher tore it from back of the grid to fifth.

The deal is, if you want to see a real race, watch the Moto GP. Valentino Rossi = god of motorsport. Or at least until Casey Stoner takes him down :D

bennyboy
Jun 12, 2006, 9:17 AM
Yes, I did catch Monaco and yes, I did catch Fisichella.
But did you see Japan 2005 where Alonso went outside Schumi at 130R, and when Raikkonen went outside Fisichella on the last lap to win the race from the back of the grid!! That's what I mean by overtaking manouvers.

And I do watch MotoGP, and Rossi isn't doing too well in this year's championship, is he.

Schumi would have finished in about ninth in Monaco but for a host of retirements at the front of the field. Ninth isn't so spectacular, is it.

Ravenous
Jun 12, 2006, 9:25 AM
Rossi's current performance... or at least the lack of his bikes performance... has nothing to do with the fact that MotoGP is a more exciting watch.

These "is he" and "is it" comments either need question marks or avoidance. It sounds like your trying to either start an argument with me or insult me. The first aint gonna happen, because you don't really have a stance as it is, and the second will have you crying to your mother about the bastad on the internet who said mean things.

Anyway... They need to cut the number of buttons on the steering wheels to four. Two clutches and two gear nobs. All the rest of the crap is rediculuous. Schumacher would make a better fighter pilot than a driver.

Ravenous, this is a forum for car enthusiasts, not for people who think they're all 'ard.

I will not go crying to my mummy, because there is nothing to cry about, and yes, you are a ''bastad'' (check your spelling, please)
I had absolutely no intention of starting an argument, because 1)there is absolutely no point and 2)it is forbidden (read the rules section please).

But now you have started an argument, i shall ignore the comments you have made about me, because I have no intention to sinking to a level in which people like you call other people names just because they talked about overtaking manouvers on a Grand Prix race.

I was reading an old thread the other day, and you did exactly the same thing: start an argument with somebody who was just expressing their opinion on something.

I suggest you actually take some deep breaths and count to ten before you post ridiculous and offensive comments to somebody who you do not even know and was just discussing Grand Prix racing.

Now, here's the thing sunshine, before you start doing jumping jacks:
I suggest you actually take some deep breaths and count to ten before you post ridiculous and offensive comments to somebody who you do not even know and was just discussing Grand Prix racing.
Read my posts again, and this time actually read them. You come from the land that invented the bloody language yet you seem to have a hard time seperating the reality of the words onscreen from the real words I've typed. Where have I posted rediculous and offensive comments? I haven't.
and yes, you are a ''bastad''
But you have. Hypocrite. Next time you try prodding at people in your posts to start s**t because you're so cocksure of yourself, remember what I've taught you.

I was reading an old thread the other day, and you did exactly the same thing: start an argument with somebody who was just expressing their opinion on something.

I'd go back and re-read, and do a bit of thinking if I were you. I don't "start arguments" over something as trivial as a discrepency in ideas. That's evo_power's job.

Oh, and why don't you try spelling bastad properly on this website?

bennyboy
Jun 12, 2006, 10:42 AM
''bastad'' was in inverted commas, showing that is how you spelt it, not I.

The thread about you insulting another member of SCF was a long time ago, when you called somebody an ''attention seeking d*ck'' and you menitoned the ''crying to mummy'' thing once again.

Ravenous, I have nothing against you, and I hope you have nothing against me, so I suggest we just put all this ''disrepency of ideas'' behind us and get on with our sports car discussing lives :):)
