If anyones finding the current situation of which drivers are going to where in Formula 1, I've found a nice site which rounds it up well.

Starting with Renault, it provides a link to each team and tells of all the drivers/possible drivers.

It's pretty much updated as well

I m pretty sure that Heikki Kovalainen will replace alonso in the renault team, that's what I heard during the last race in turkey.

When you said "F1 silly season" I had this image of Montoya, Webber and Alonso getting drunk and photocopying their asses while wearing santa hats.

Srsly, good sight, interesting read. I'm still hanging out to see Rossi on the grid, I'd love to see him and Alonso in a 1 on 1.

And then sending them to Ron Dennis :p

I think Rossi has committed to MotoGP until 2008, and won't join Ferrari until he's 100% certain of a driving role.

^^ Yeah, but it is mostly :p

Also I believe it said in Autosport the Heikki is now signed for renault in 2007 :)
And, Hamilton will not be appearing until 2008

Heikki signed with Renault? I don't really think Renault will win championships with Kovalinen and Fisichella, no offence to them, Fisichella only won because Alonso has made mistakes, and Fisi is no way near consistent, sometimes he's a front runner, sometimes he's languishing down in the latter half of the field.

Heikki hasn't had any experience in racing in F1 whatsoever, so it will take a few years before he can come around and try to challenge for victories and become a frontrunner.

Hamilton not in until 2008? Good, because it's only his first season in GP2 this years and you can't, you just CAN'T expect to be quick in F1 if it's only your first season in f1 and only the second in a top-flight motorsports category. I think he should go testing in 2007 and then testing again in 2008, and then be fresh for '09.

^^You could say the same about Kubica, and in his second GP he reached 6th, twice...so you know

6th? I thought he was 12th....

Yeah, Kubica's a big talent, in 2007 it wouldn't really surprise me if he were challenging fror podiums, because BMW have made a hell of a lot of progress this year, ten times as much as WIlliams. BMW seem to have come better off on the BMW Williams split.

^^ Hamilton is AMAZING!! I just watched the highlights of the GP2 race and he spun it on one of the laps and got down to 24th..he then charged back up the field..and ended 2nd.
Glock & Piquet made it very hard for him, but he was still able to finish 2nd..

I just watched it just now aswell on ITV.....what a bloody fantastic race from Hamilton!

Spun from something like 20th place and the leasers were over ten seconds ahead of him and he gets second place??!?!

Now that takes supreme talent and a cool head, what a fantastic race for Hamilton, it would have been even better if he could have caught Zuber in the last few laps, eh?

I knew he was going to come second because James Allen said so when I was watching the Turkish GP, but still, I was enthralled with his driving and his manouvres and he is an exceptional talent and will win in F1 some time in the very near future.

Nelson Piquet Junior (second race we're talking about) finished in 5th and Lewis Hamilton is still winning the championship by 10 points.

Support Hamilton!:)
