Great, Button first pole. Offcourse you don't know how fast they really are, but they were alsot the fastest in the Friday training. And Schumi was quicker, but made a little mistake in the Variante Alta.

And i love Mercedes engines

I wonder if anyone will be able to take away the victory from Schumacher. Odds are he will win this season's F1 championship. I'm only saying this b/c he won the first three races and every other driver in the history of F1 who won the first three has always won the championship.

i'm reading the F1-live cast right now. i can't believe i stayed up for this. 6:30 am in the morning. Sato just stopped b/c of mechanical failure. that pisses me off b/c if he ended in 8th, then Honda would've gotten that extra point! but i'm extremely happy with Button's position! 2nd place YES! GOOD JOB BUTTON. Honda's doing great this year.

and on another note, Michael Schumacher is such a h4x0r. he's all hacks. :x

1st Schumacher
2nd Button (+9.7 sec)
3rd Montoya (+21.6 sec)

Button was very close to catching up. If he hadn't been held up in traffic he might have stood a chance at taking the 1st podium spot. In any case it's been a great season for him. Let's see what he'll do at Spain.

I thought it was interesting how M. Schumacher hugged Button after the race and didn't even glance at Montoya.

What do you mean "very close to catching up"???? Nobody was able to catch up with Schumi. Even heavier then the rest he was almost 1 second a lap faster then the rest!!
Over the race: as expected it was very boring, b/c overtaking at Imola is almost impossible.
But i want a very big applause for Kimi Raikkonen, because:
1. He finished the race
2. He drove more laps in one race then in the first three races
3. And last but not least: He won 1 WC-Point
:D :D :D

Button was able to close the gap from 20+ seconds down to under 10 seconds. I'd say he did very well in attempting to catch up.

wasn't that at the end when schumacher was easing up? he was consistently getting 1'22'' and started getting 1'25'' consistently during the last about 8 laps or so, because he was a shoe-in for the checkered flag. button also eased up in the last few laps.

Yeah, like our commentator said: "Schumi has put the Cruise Crontol on" :D
He was just doing easy, he had a gap of 20+ sec.

He was deliberately doing that, because his victory was assured and he also wanted to protect his engine from blow-up.
