:)
I know that most here are non-nascar fans so you may not understand or care......but my god this is the happiest I have been in a long time.
The reason......my driver Jeff Burton...after 175 tries has finally won again...I am so thrilled and glad I cannot describe it.
This is so awesome...I love jeff burton...he has been my favorite driver since the late 90's and I cannot say the words of emotion that I have right now.
This is awesome....also amazing race if any of you saw it.:) :)

Jeff Burton?!?!?!!?
Oh yeah, Jeff Burton!!!!
In the summer holidays when I followed NASCAR (I still do if I can, I would count myself as a NASCAR fan) I remember Jeff Burton, a good driver he was.
Well, congratulations to him for winning the Nextel Cup, in all honesty I thought Harvick or Johnson would have wrapped up the title because they were ahead, but Burton overcame the odds and won the titles.
Congratulations to him for winning.
You got any links to this?
And also, what races did he win and what positions did the other guys come in the final standings?

Whoa...holy hold on...thanks for the responses but sadly I have to inform you of this.
He hasn't won the title yet.......he won a race after 175 tries...not the title....he is in the points lead with 8 races to go.....he just won...but I am still crazy happy.
Remember...no title........yet.......1st race win since 2001....:D

Double congrats to Burton. He jumps to the points lead, 6 ahead of jeffie, with 8 races to go.
Idiot Stewart got loose and spun, taking out Kasey Kahne. It wasn't his fault, for a change. Kahne and Kyle's 38th and 40th pos. finishes put them 182 and 224 points behind Burton.

They show NASCAR in the UK??? When? Which channel?
In the summer holidays, when the season was still on, it was on every Tuesday (or, officially Wednesday morning) night at 1am on Channel Five.
It was part of NASCAR, IndyCar, Race and Rally UK, Motorsport Mundial, Superbikes and lots of other things on in one night.

Kinda like any lame ass can drive an 87 3 Series but it takes a sweet lame ass to use Dinan parts? Keep up the hick remarks...

first off thanks to you monkey....second off not every forum as you say has a killjoy...a forum may posses a moron who has nothing better to do than to make stupid comments on topics they have no idea what is going on.....umm...example of moron.....oh yes...you.
and oh yeah according to you there would be 50 of these "hicks" at a race track. hmmmmmm....I think there is only 43 bud.
and knowing this you probably don't even know the diffrence of a tie-rod and a hot-rod.

Yeah, it kind of goes along with the fact that NASCAR is the most popular motorsport in the world.

NASCAR is better than F1 when it somes to racing but MotoGP tops them all.

wow you didnt get the memo that me having dinan parts on my car makes me the ****?
guys chill its a joke have a sence of humor, i thought it was kind of funny how this guy is all obsessing over 1 driver who is past his prime, obviously im not a nascar fan but i remember jeff burton mania 2 years ago or so and then he faded away
have you ever been to streetfire its like a freaking competition for who can bring the thread down first
also cause i dont like nascar or how many drivers are in a race that automatically means that i dont know the first thing about cars?, think up something more clevar if you want to shoot me down

wait here comes a double post you can ***** about me on that too
i can agree with Juggernaut that nascar has better racing than F1 cause as soon as one F1 car gets close to another in an corner the following car loses the downforce on the front wing and runs wide but IMO that makes the few passes mutch more exciting than the many in an nascar event
but MotoGP dose still top them all

Does any NASCAR fan remember a Dover race some years ago when jeffie gordon crowded Jeff Burton down (multiple contacts) from the outside lane on the last lap? I was jumping 3 feet off the floor; yelling, "He would spin YOU in a heartbeat!"
Burton didn't, and jeffie got the win. Jeff Burton was due this one.

There was some media chatter about the Roush "family" last year. This year there has been a lot of buzz about the Kendrick "family". The hell with them.
I've been telling peeps to look out for the Childress "family" for 2 months. Dale didn't "carry" this team by himself. Harvick stepped into his seat and won his third race.
Going to 'Dega...

Steve its the Hendrick family.......sorry I had to :D
I think that Dale is continuing his drive for another championship...I think he is still with us riding along in the 07, 29, and 31. I hope that the monopoles of Rick and Jack do not win. Evernham has his own issuues and Gibbs is shocked by not having Tony in, and having a rookie driving in the chase.
You actually going to go to Talladega?....because you are one of the lucky ones.

Grrrrr... Shame on you! j/k I'm no Jeff fan, but.....
If you want some advice, put some cash on the 24 at Martinsville, you'll get RICH!
I'm no Jeff fan, but I'm sure he'll win there. Look at him in the past at Martinsville... look at the situation he's in... Look at his luck at his LUCK there... On top of the fact I heard he'll be driving "Butthead", which is one of Rick Hendrick's "best of the best" short-track cars.
He also won from 3 laps down and a blown tire. Really, I'll be surprised if he dosn't win it.

Mybad, clutch. Did you know Hendrick Motorsports fielded the Corvette GTP IMSA cars in the '80's?
There was a helluva NASCAR race at Kansas City today! The top 10 were:
Tony Stewart Chev
Casey Mears

^^ Yeah Imagine winning a race with an empty tank! hahaha!
It was indeed a sweet race, and on a cookie-cutter track too!
Poor Jeffy! Did you see him in the interview with red, tear filled eyes? It almost made me feel bad for him, he lost all fuel pressure and brought it to the grarge.

Jeff Burton came in 5th at Kansas City today. Helluva race! The top 10 finishers were the ones who did NOT stop for a late "splash & go." For a fact 1st & 2nd Tony Stewart and Casey Mears were coasting.
Hard-luck guys included Kasey Kahne who ran out of gas and made a late move for the pit and spun into the tri-oval grass. He had to be pushed 2/3 of pit road and finished 33rd.
Lap leader Jimmie Johnson aborted a pit entry avoiding the spinning Kahne and got a pit road speeding penalty to finish 14th. (sniff)
Jeff Gordon lost a fuel pump with 20 to go and was scored 39th. (snicker)
Runner-up lucky dog of the race was Ryan Newman, who spun TWICE with no contact to finish 24th.
Lucky dog of the race was rookie Daytona polesitter Denny Hamlin. He spun and tapped the wall (with damage) INSIDE the fuel window. He finished 18th to take 2nd in the chase!
Burton's 5th keeps him in the chase lead.
Mark Martin's 3rd puts him in 3rd.

I take my hat off to Buton and Martin, they never sieze to amaze me. Even considering what Mark said about his car he was still able to keep under control.
It was also crazy how loose the track was today. I just watched car after car fishtail out of turn 4, and in the first 20 mins of racing there was 3 cautions for spins in the 4th turn.

good race today......would have been crazy if the caution came out with 2 laps to go....then overtime.....whoa boy.
Jeff gets another top 10 which ties him for most with Kenseth and Johnson with 18 each..... he is up by 69 points over Denny.......hopefully he will continue this run.

I hate that the top two guys won while not even running. Jimmie was leading and decided to not risk not pitting. Oh well, you can't do anything about it. I just wish Tony wouldn't have won, I just hate him!
