what r u guys talking about!
Its horride! - it has a good diesel V10. but if you want an SUV (why id ont know cause you sure as hell arent likely to go off road) buy a range rover!

If you really want an SUV, you should get a BMW M3. Its a really cool car :) and its pretty fast, and got loads of power (in case you did'nt notice, I did'nt name an SUV, because they are all pretty much worthless and 97% of the people who buy them dont even need them...SO GO HAVE FUN WASTING YOUR MONEY, you could be buying a nice fast car instead!!!!)

you can have lots of fun with a good SUV .. something diffrent than fun road cars ...
offroads can be very hard and challanging ...
but i will take an M3 over any SUV ,, but just for the record SUV's are fun too !

If by some strange chain of events I was forced to get an SUV, it'd TOTALLY be the Touareg. It has an excellent engine selection and a hella sweet SIX speed tranny. Thats pretty cool for an SUV. It looks nice too. But yeah, SUVs blow in general.

Yeah, they better ship over here the badass disel V-10 they have in europe. anything less than that wouldn't really do anything for me. The US is so gypped in imports anymore :x

Sep 08, 2003, 10:02 AM
you think Americans will go for a diesel (even if it is as good as the V10)?
morr8
Sep 08, 2003, 7:06 PM
americans woudent go for it, gas is too cheep overthere so there is no need for it.

Sep 08, 2003, 9:24 PM
Yeah, and the quality of our Deisel is MUCH less restriced so it's less refined and of lower quality. I guess I'll just move over there then

Schumi
Oct 29, 2003, 7:24 AM
:? Is that for sure???I really doubt that...Porsche isnt on VW Group as their site shows.
Thlam
Oct 29, 2003, 5:12 PM
yup 100% sure it is built on the same platform they had a joint venture when the toureg/cayenne were built
jimkk29
Oct 29, 2003, 7:31 PM
Yeah I also believe it's built on the same platform, although Porsche does not belong to group VW.
Thlam
Oct 29, 2003, 9:10 PM

Oct 30, 2003, 6:00 AM

They are partly inside the VW group, i read that somewhere, and as a sidenote Porsche is making bad move with the Cayenne, not that the Cayenne S or Turbo aren't good, they are very good for me, but they are gonna ship a sub s version with the 3.2 litre V6 from VW and 250hp, that would put cayenne acceleration in the same league as the camry, that is very very very bad for a porsche, the pirce is expected to be at 45k in US

The VW Touareg: Motor Trend's 2004 Sports/Utility of the year. Anyone say it's not good still?
Thlam
Nov 03, 2003, 5:04 PM
yup me, the VW is small inside just like everyother VW, its not greatly equipped at bse price when others like the RX330 are far better equipped, and the only advatage the toureg has is the large towing capacity, other then htat its a horrible car
Schumi
Nov 04, 2003, 3:37 PM
And the design is horrible too.
Thlam
Nov 04, 2003, 5:06 PM
hmm..well not that horrible but it does look more like an Audi then a VW in front
jimkk29
Nov 04, 2003, 6:21 PM
They're almost the same company, so...
Thlam
Nov 04, 2003, 6:29 PM
yes i am aware of that i am just saying that it should look more like a VW not an audi becase both have distinct fronts
Schumi
Nov 08, 2003, 12:13 PM
Audi before enter the VW group was such craps IMO.And many more old and well known about cars people told that.
