well to be one of the suepension or really tecchy people
you need mechanics, physics and for some areas chemistry

you have to be EXTREMELY clever to get high up in tuning and that.
you just need all the qualifications and brownie points on your CV from a very young age and then thats even a chance.

You really do not need to be extremely clever to become a technician in F1. I read a book about a Dutch technician who has worked as a mechanic for Sauber. Then he worked for Racing for Holland in the Le Mans team, and now he works in A1 GP.
He didn't even do a study at a university. He started working in Formula Ford, and workes his way up, to Formula 3. And at one point he decided to go for a job at a F1 team. And in the end he was Raikkonens race engineer at Sauber

Though if you want to be involved with the design, aerodynamics etc. you do need a good qualification. But to become a race engineer

Well some of the bigger teams in F1 have reported man power of up to 700+, so there's certainly a lot of people in F1 teams.

As for qualifications, as an aerodynamicist, because of the nature of the field, they prefer you to have university qualifications, and it helps to go and do a PhD in it as well. Ultimately, however, they want to see experience in lower racing series, so you can't just jump into a team, even with your PhD and whatnot.

I kind of want to be a bus driver for the F1 teams. I think that'd be awesome.

Heretic and MonkeyFkker both have extensive race experience but as far as I know neither has been involved with F1. I have an uncle that worked for the Mercedes DTM team as an advisor, would you like me to ask him?

IF you really want to be on one of those teams, then you should figure out what position your going for. Research everything you can about it and then find a job that will get you exp. in that field. Put your nose to the stone ,start on a lesser team and BEAT on doors. Let them know you exist.

Mclarens new lorries that carry the crew can cost upto £11 millon. It was on ITV1 when last years F1 was on TV. Shocking eh?

Actually I'd settle for that too. Need a special license before you can drive a bus though . I think it's a D license.
