It is basically the latch release for the hood panel and the rear panel and or trunk. It is made that way because it is quicker to open it by a mechanic just pulling on it and removing the panel instead of opening many hood pins.
The holes on the back could be ports for air so that the car can either raise off of the ground or it could be a place for water injection for the car. The holes I am not 100% sure on but the loop I am nearly 100% positive. Yuu will find it on many other cars including drag racers.

And using those pins results in having the car lighter because you can skin the panels. Instead of having a brick of metal attached to the front of the car.

I'm not sure about the holes for the pneumatic jack...but I'll run with it until I can find out what they are exactly. However, the red loop is in fact the tow hook, matching the one up front.

are you sure your not talking about something else? Because Merc said a Red arrow pointing at a red loop. ..
The red arrow should say "TOW" in white writing and points to the red loop to show people where to hook up their tools to tow the car.
The red loop is the place where the people hook their tools on to it to actually tow the car.
This is usually located on the front bumper or the hood of a car and in the rear bumper of a car.
EDIT: i believe clutch is talking about the 2 buttons that the yellow arrows point to on the trunk of the DBR9....

That's definitely a tow hook, but what always gets me is, why are the never in the centre? Why are they always to one side of the centre for?

I'm not sure. Does it depends on where the exhaust runs through. Because if it gets really hot it might do something to the hook...I'm not sure.

If I'm correct the exhaust ends on the side, not at the back.

Oh yes, I think you're right. My mistake.

I apologize for the misinformation. I was sure it was a quick release for the body panel, but now that I look closer I see that it just may be the tow hook. Once again sorry for the wrong answer.
