It's a real milestone in "world class racing" in the USA when the Sat 4/21 ALMS race (support for Sunday's Champ Car race) on a streetcourse in Houston TX has no live or same-day TV coverage. It will be shown (edited to 2 hrs) next Sunday 4/29 at 1300 EDT on CBS before Golf (go figure). The track is pretty rough. Maybe the P2 cars will break; though the Team Highcroft Acura driven by David Brabham has the pole. P2 didn't break last week:

I will be watching the Rolex race at VIR live on SPEED next Sunday at 1300 EDT.

Can't believe they aren't showing it, especially since ALMS is gaining popularity in America.

I'll watch it next weekend and I'm really hoping the XM Acura can pull off a win, and for someone to enter the damn GT1 class!

Those assholes. Nobody gives a damn about golf, why don't they edit that down instead?

I hope that Audi runs into Porsche for that contact at the last race. It would take out Porsche so a Ferrari could win and be pretty cool to see.

Corvettes need some compitition. Seriously.

Who says ALMS is gaining in popularity? ALMS?

A Penske Porsche and an Andretti/Green Acura put a P2 spank on the P1 smoker Audis again at Houston. The Risi Ferrari F430GT made it 4 straight in GT2 over the Flying Lizard Porsche.

It is a lousy street circuit. The P2 Porsches broke last year. The Champ Cars had lots of errors/DNFs today.

Next weekend, US race fans with SPEED are advised to watch the GrandAm race LIVE at VIR @ 1300 EDT Sun 4/29.

Other non-US REAL race fans can get lots more info from GA live timing/scoring than from other series' sites.

PS. jeff gordon is not worthy to touch a flag with the #3 on it; IMO.

I almost got to go see it live in person :(

Things just didn't work out for me. Had a wedding and a bunch of other stuff that I had to do instead.
