The exhaust on the pickup in the second image is hilarious. It looks like its a snorkel.

God I love those Firebirds. The styling is truely awsome. In fact, when I have enough money for a sports car, I might even consider a used one.

The Stang has a panhandle motor. Meaning its going to be pretty, and insanely quick.

It's TMP (Toronto Motorsports Park) in Cayuga Ont.
An hour & 1/2 southwest of Toronto depending on QEW
traffic.

Front wheel drive drag cars disgust me. I have seen many on the NOPI tour, but I just can't get around the utter stupidity of front wheel drive drag cars, I appologize to any of you who may start crying. Fat tires up front are just wrong and a kitty dies every time a FWD dragster does a burnout. I can appreciate the power put down, but I can't live with where it is put down.
jjo you have got some great pics there, my favorites by far are the Birds, I mean WOW. Looks like fun and of course I apologize once again for crapping on your neon parade.

Nice pics, jjo!
The Dodge in the last set is the same body as my Hemi R/T was; but I'm still a sucker for the Dart in the first set.

another thing... most of the cars in canada or toronto are FWD.. and they are pretty good... and not everyone is going to go race... so they dont really care about what car they drive... and that is probably the only car there with fwd... most of the others were RWD and i don't know why people go like.. "oh fwd cars suck" just speak for yourself you like rwd cars and dont discourage them:mad:... some guy might actually like a fwd car

God those C2 Corvettes are beautiful. I hate to nag but you don't happen to have any more pics of either of them?
It's a 1963 Split Window Corvette with a tunnel rammed big block.
Does tunnel ram mean a ram air system with those large tubes leading to the cylinders? The long tubes mean that the air flows faster to get more torque right?

What I love about any drag racing scene anywhere is that there's always so many cars being built in backyards & unknown shops that always seem to go unnoticed until someone posts a pic of them.
There must be , literally , tens of thousands of cars in America alone that are drag-ready & 90% being built with absolutely no sponsors or outside financial assistance.
This is what I love about drag racing...the unknown element being brought into the spotlight courtesy of a forum. Go everyone. Show the world that there's more to it than just NHRA & IHRA.
I can't imagine the number of drag cars that exist across the USA that don't get the recognition they deserve. These are the racers that I respect the most.
God I'd give anything to be a part of any racing team that is dedicated to what they believe in. Bracket racers are the no.1 racers in my world.

Does tunnel ram mean a ram air system with those large tubes leading to the cylinders? The long tubes mean that the air flows faster to get more torque right?Tunnel Rams work like a funnel... the air comes in and is sped up by being forced through a smaller hole than it was brought in through. This 'rams' the air into the carbs and force feeds the engine...
I was wrong by the way, those are just carb stacks... not really a tunnel ram but the same effect basically.

Thats a beautiful '67...
Bracket racers are the no.1 racers in my world.I agree. Super Gas is the largest division in drag racing and although most of the cars have stickers on their cars of the products they use, only about 10% actually have major sponsorship. The ones that do are usually the ones about to break out into the Pro classes and run Pro Stock. Most Super Gas and Super Comp cars are built in some guy's garage on the weekends and trailered on a flat trailer. That's what makes it so fun...
nope.. it looks more like a batmobile kind of vehicle...Are you telling me I'm wrong? If so, I'd like you to tell me what it is...
