Few pictures from the 1000km race at silverstone from sunday. Both batteries where low as i did not charge them up after last weeks britcar race, and the light was bloddy crap and there are some dark photos.

This just makes me MORE jealous of you Europeans and your much, MUCH greater coverage and participation in motorsports.
Brilliant photos though. I'm offiicially putting 'go to Europe and see a Le Mans series race' to my non existent 'Things to do before I die' list :D

living in europe dosent mean its easyer to go to races tbh, infact i can only go to LeMans each year due to my location even tho i would love to go to more events

But you live in Malta, so you're not exaclty on the mainland, so that makes it difficult for you anyway :p
There just seems to be more going on in Europe. That or I'm probably not looking hard enough. It's also a culture thing as well, as in, Europeans seem to have it more than we do, or maybe that's just me.

Just do it,(lemans 24h) its well worth the money, i was only going to go once after my exams, but ended going again and again, its the same with the ring 24h race also. Next year i plan to do 4 24 hr races, Le Mans, The Ring, Spa and Britcar races, i think 2008 will be a good year.

Wow, great shots! I really like them.
Next year Im going to Silverstone for the F1, but now I'm wondering whether Le Mans is better. Which place(s) on the track is(are) good for watching and shooting? Where did you take your photos?
Thank you.

you guys are so lucky. The closest F1 track is in Montreal. The tickets are amazingly expensive. $1000+ and i have to fly to Montreal to see it. Therefore, i can only watch it on TV because i can't afford going there to watch F1.

I'm going with a car and buy the cheapest which are about 100 euro($1.4) and it still fun.

no, $1000 are for those who sit on the stands that arent form the start/final straight. Those tickets that you get to see the start/final straight is around $1500-$2000

is over there the LMP1 and LMP2 competitiveness as strong as in the US? I do wonder if the Peugeot has a challenger over there...

Post the pics, PorscheTech. By the way; I didn't notice the ATL in your advice to the guy w/914. You don't work on Fairground St, do you?
