I haven't heard from Porsche for a while.

I know that they are doing great in ALMS, winning 12 overall victory out of 13 races beating LMP1 R10, if my memory serves me well.

But, does anyone know how Porsche are doing in FIA GT2 and GT3 classes? I know that porsche would be doing great but how are they doing against ferrari in FIA GT class?

In the FIA GT2 class the 997 GT3 RSR's lost from the Ferrari's with the 430 GT2's

And the same goes for the GT3, where Ferrari won, a corvette team got second, then BMS scuderia with the Aston Martin DBRS9 and then fourth the first team with a Porsche.

It's a good thing for Audi that ALMS counts less points for P2 positions than P1; otherwise it would look bad that RS Spyders SPANKED smoker audis in race positions and points.

Smokers beat the Porsches in the last 2 ALMS races due to late cautions. The win margin for Petit LeMans and Laguna Seca combined(14 hours) was less than 1.5 seconds!

Once upon a time, P2 cars weighed 675kg. Now they weigh 775kg. Next year even more...

I think Porsche is doing just fine.

Less weight is the only reason the P2 cars are able to compete with P1 cars. They're much less powerful. If the RS Spyders were allowed some extra power they might even beat the P1's.

Venom 1000; do you watch/follow/read stats for ALMS? Did you even read the previous post? P2 cars won 8 straight races over the smoker audis this year!

I reiterate: the Porsches would have beat the smokers the last 2 races w/o late cautions.
