What about Senna, he drove for Mclaren, and had more championships than Mika. Or Alan Prost also was much more successful in Mclaren than mika. But its a mater of opinion so
I will go with NIKI Lauda his my favorite driver period. "to hell and back"

I would say Mika Hakinen. When i was a child i was seeing him in some races and he was much aggressive. I liked his driving style.

I'd say Ayrton Senna, and then Hakkinen. As much as i love how Hakkinen drives, no one can be compared to Ayrton Senna, not even Schumi (for you Ferrari Fanboys)

Oh boy...can we please refrain from turning this thread into some sort of argument? I would like to hear what people have to say without having to search through arguments over who may or may not be better.
As for me, well, there are a number of different drivers from a number of different eras, such as:
Mika Hakkinen
James Hunt
Niki Lauda
Alain Prost
Emerson Fittipaldi
John Surtees
Danny Hulme
and even Bruce McLaren himself, just to name a few.
Who is the best one out of the lot? Way too hard to say. Having not seen everyone one of them in anger around the track, or even on TV, I'm not going to make any decisions on this one, nor perhaps will I ever.

Denis Hulme, the Golden Bear, was the greatest multi-series McLaren driver ever.

Just to make you think about that a bit more. Senna lapped a guy in the first lap and back then, they had no traction control and they had a full manual tranny.
