That was a hell of a name considering I couldn't copy and paste it... anyway, here's a 12 month old image of the car:

And here's th changes after 600(!) windtunnel hours. That's up there with Audi and Porsche I think. This sounds like it could be a hardcore gangbanger.

They also intend to run an open-top LMP2, by the way. Here's a qote from Mulsannescorner.com. I don't quie understand, but porbably a lot of you guys will.

Here we see the mold for the monocoque of the EE-LMP1-07. The intent had always been for the closed top LMP1 version to be complemented by an open top LMP2 version. This can be achieved through clever mold making by placing parting lines that double as the transition points for the two different versions.

a slightly copy of the R10, SPEED8, and 908LMYeah. Personally I think it's so ugly it makes blind kids cry with the Speed 8/R10/908 single seater-nose.
The only one of them that's been able to pull of that front design is the Bentley. The others are downright ugly.
I don't see how that front-end architecture can be that much more effective anyway... The Group C cars didn't use it, and back then there practically was no design restrctions compared to today. So what exacly are the advantages of a such front-end dsign?

no idea. Maybe is cause of the aero limitations they need to explore with new designs. To bad they don't have a bast imagination to create something different and beautiful. I prefer actual rules and designs compared to what they are heading. To bad there is no 1996-1999 history again...

Looks pretty aggresive compared to the other LMP1 cars, I like it. Any engine specs?

Yeah, I think it will get a Judd GV5.5 V10. However customer cars might be fitted with other engines such as AER, same goes for the LMP2 version.

Ford AER is an awesome engine. I think the Dyson Lola LMP2 has them when started to challenge for the first time in history the LMP1's.

The first picture reminds me of the Old Toyota le Mans (dunno which car it was exactly)
Now the newest design looks like flimsy inferior copy of the Peugot.

^^ Yea, that's the one i was talking about...
...Except that unlike the GT1, it isn't the coolest car ever made...
Honestly, that thing sounds so cool it isn't funny.

You know, the design templates for almost all the future LMP1 cars will be very similar. Its just the way its going to be. Eventually all the cars will be very similar because the design elements for the fastest car will be similar, sor of like a bottleneck in design ideas and features. I can only hope that Lister can come up with something out of this world and race it. Perhaps Panoz can get back in the LMP1 range and make a front engined LMP car again.
As for this car, I give it a 6-7/10 on looks. The doors/canopy area looks weird, and the nose is too long and thin. But if it works, then good for them.

Clutch, i think Panoz needs to sell a few more Esperante's before they get into another field of racing....

I'm gonna revive this thread because I'm gangster!
Real life pics has been released of the car. The last ones are from the testing at Paul Richard three days ago. There are a few more detail pics on mulsannescorner.com, incliding new pictures of the new Lola coupe.

I kinda heart it. The shape of the cockpit is lot more sexy and Bentley-like than that of the 908 and the new Lola.
