A great movie from Ari Vatanen in a Peugeot 405 T16 going up the Pikes Peak.
The beginning is boring, the cool part starts when he's getting higher, and when he drives a few cm from the cliff.
I'm sorry for the "56k members" but the movie is 67MB. But i think it's still worth downloading.

I saw it some time ago but i have to say it's great. It's really worth downloading.

What is the elevation from start to finish...seeing the cliff there would freak me out...hate to fall

yea I didn't see it coming. all of a sudden what looks to be a wasp hits the camera, the splat sound sounded like a huge impact of pain too.

What about the moment where Vatanen gets blinded by the sun, and uses one hand to stop the sun shining in his eyes, and the other to drive that car. That's really cool :twisted:

talent, trust his own driving, well you would have to, to win at pikes peak

well he prolly drove that course so many times he knows it by heart. but really you would think they would have enough tech to make glare resistant windows... o wait it was in the 90's.

That movie is awsome. You can search Kazza for some pikes peak videos featuring Peugeot 205T16s, SAABs, and the allmighty Audi Sport Quattro.

Would be nice to see Audi make another assault on the Peak.

I live at the base of Pikes Peak and work in a little part of the town called motor city. Just before the races all the companies bring out their pikes peak cars and drive them up and down the road. Fast. I know they are far from street legal but tell that to them. It's cool to watch them fly by back and forth.
