Well, not really. They help with downforce through all the twistys in the forests etc. But i'm sure u knew that! Expect the Focus RS-II to look almost exactly the same as the concept (the road car that is).

I was talking to the Ford Team RS M-Sport guys in Spain, and they were saying that the new WRC car is a lot stronger and handled better already than the current car, and its still being developed!!
They also said that although the link with ford is weakening, M-Sport will continue to work with Ford with the new car, but should Ford pull out, the M-sport will either change manufacturers (probably) or close down (very unlikely)
If you want any more info, i can give you it, i had a VIP pass on the rally :D (best to email me or pm probably, as i wont really be able to check here alot!)

I have to say that i like more the looks of the 2004 Focus WRC then this new one, but the WRC is about speed not about looks.

I got that info from the Customer Relations guy, Matthew when i had my VIP pass in the Ford M-Sport camp, the stage that Duval retired in Spain, so I only saw Markko's car come in and out of service, but at least Duval came in, so i saw him also!

It looks pretty good but we will have to wait and see how it compares with the Subaru and Citroen cars next season. Cool Paint jobs but...

I'm concerned about the development of this car. I mean the help from the drivers side: Gardemeister and Kresta. They don't really have that much expirience.

Very true, but this is a 2006 car and PSA would have pulled out by then. Which leaves lots of WRC drivers for sale.

Last night on speed channel, WRC was on, Gardemiester was doing really well, but then I fell asleep. I think that Ford will have a good team, but Kresta will have a normal type of rookie season, Thats my prediction

Toni is doing well so far, 2nd in the championship and Ford are joint 1st overall. Great result!

yeah.... and what can I say about Subaru.,.. brake problems!!! and that Mitsubishi is ahead right now! the first time in 3 years they have had more points than subaru in any rally, let alone the championship!! but I know things will change, its too early in the season for any definates :)

of course subaru will come back because their too good of a team and mitsubishi is still kind of inexpierenced at rallying, even though they have former peugout driver harry rovenparra

I think that the Xsara is still the car to catch, will it get any development as the season goes on?

nope, because i think in the 4th event (might be 5th... cant remember) the 2005 C4 WRC will be introduced... which i think is totally pointless if they are pulling out at the end of this year...
and obsessedcarfreak0, you might add that, the first international WRC i went to (Finland) was Tommi's first year in the Subaru alongside Petter, i have both their autographs with their co-drivers on a card together that i got signed on the Thursday "Official Opening" :) :D

your dang lucky, too bad i live in the us (just because of the no WRC part) but AWD freak i am a guy, haha, and thaks for agreeing with me.and yes i also think when citroen will practially be "garbage" because what is the point of creating a new car if in the next year they will not compeat? and also it is going have to take time to get used to the car because you cant test with it, well maybe but it wont be the rally of germany or anything like that
