How depressing for the owner. A bike that does only 199! Why couldn't they have just made it do 200? Especially after shelling out 72 g's for it

The handling on a sport bike should be more important than its top speed. I do believe it is drag limited to 199MPH, but it could go faster with a tiny bit of a downhill slope.....

Lol, Just cause it appeared in a Magazine recently doesn't mean is new. I was just stating the bike model is two years old
On the bottom of the page, you can see the original thread done two years ago.

Ducati has just recently began delivering these bikes to owners.
You all are gonna think my dad is even more nuts, but we have one sitting in the garage :D
I have ridden it a few times. Never really went fast on it, but it is an amazing bike. It sounds like nothing else you have ever heard.
My dad recently took it to a track day in PA, at Pocono Int. Speedway (it is a tri-oval course with a pretty interesting infield section) and he said the bike was crazy fast. At one point, he was leaned over on the banking going ~130 mph, and cranked the throttle more and broke the tire loose. Brutally powerful.
It is also insanely light. carbon fiber is everywhere, the wheels are magnesium as well as engine covers. I believe even the sub frame is CF. The bike weighs about equal to a 600 sportbike.

70k for a bike? That is just a crazy amount of money for a bike that could be equaled for around a quarter of that price. What a waste of cash....

200 hp and 400 lbs makes it one of the best power to weight ratio bikes in existence, aside from those dragsters or turbo monsters.
