Even though it's old news, I feel that this story uncovers/goes into more detail than we've seen before. I found it to be a great read....
I still wonder what the dude at the photocopy shop received from Ferrari for his kind gesture :D

I'm gonna use the scandal notes in my Season Review of 2007 once I grt down to it.
But anyway, are you sure that's what happened? Didn't the information that a dossier was obtained by Coughlan's family come to Ferrari in a different way? Was it even photocopied?

I think it was already posted on here, but just the same good read, people should go through it. This is the reason hamilton almost won a championship last year.
Oh no he started the war in this thread too.

Yeah old news, but I did hear it again on the news recently though. And the story is updated.

It was, that's how Ferrari got the tip-off.
In any case, I love the overhead shot of the F2007. Awesome!

Well I'm relying on the article to be true but im not sure why they would fabricate a whole lot of new things and put them into the story.... I do know that Ferrari became aware of the dossier through the photocopy dude but what I find really interesting is how Alonso and De La Rosa were so keen to use the info.... cheats I tell you!

One of the most interesting articles I've ever read...
I found it "amusing" to see how easy, and "regular" it all was. I mean, you'd think in the exclusive world of F1, this sort of stuff couldn't happen the way it did, but in fact, all it was a couple of email and text messages.

Thigs don't ever happen as hard as in Hollywood films. This reminds me Gorbachev's Zil which was known as maybe the safest car in the world. It got some serious stuff in it, and some kind of unique safe-cage. Americans wanted to investigate it but all tryes came to a dead-end until... they just bought one. :D:D Imagine!
Ontopic, thats a very very interesting read. I haven't red it before.

I think this is a great write up of the event.
It's a little touched up to be dramatic, but a good read.

Exactly my thoughts. Says absolutely everything that happened from start to finish (assuming it has finished, that is :D). I was going to point out a few things, but like you said, it's dramatised slightly on purpose.

That'll be the most BORING movie of all time. I've taken dumps that are more dramatic then this whole story.

As you clearly have no interest in the sport, you should maybe post in another thread.

F1 is great, it's got really good racing, but everyone bitching and moaning over people stealing other peoples ideas is weak. IT'S RACING! It's gonna happen. Anyway, F1 is far too up it's own ass to be REALLY great. Every single year that goes by it seems to be less and less about the actual race itself, and more about bullcrap that has nothing to do with it.

Actually, Evo, last year and especially this year every F1 race is great fun and much more interesting since Shumi's era. So much tallent in the newbies (Hamilton, Rosberg, Piquet, Vettel, Bourdais, Kubica, Sutil) plus the already known good drivers = you have what you need behind the wheel. And without the electronics they make the "slide-show" full, especially i the rain (muahah). And do not forget to look at the drivers standings - different from other years, huh? Yeah, in the Ecclestone years F1 became more of a money-machine but now he realised that people don't like it that way. So he's trying to make it more interesting now and returning some old things. In some ways successfully.
So I can't agree with you here, definitely.

Well hell, if F1 is good again I might actually start watching it again...now I just need a channel that actually has the races...hmmmm, time to hit the bars :)

I liked a few replays; but Live Timing + TV audio provided most of the suspense. CN GP was a great race!

I liked the cheatgate writeup; but I got fed up long ago. Give Ferrari and Mclaren each other's cars for 72 hours and STFU. Let's race.
