One off the worlds most beautiful cars and what can you say 24 litres !!!!!!!!!! Out of 12 cylinders!!!!! That is beastly my dear friends and you only have rear brakes :)

This is the Napier Railton, as built in 1933. The Napier-Railton is powered by a Napier Lion airplane engine, this 24 litre engine has 12 cylinders in three banks of four and produces 500bhp at 2,200 rpm. It has a topspeed of 170mph (274 km/h). The Napier-Railton raced on tracks like Brooklands (it still holds the lap record at Brooklands) and broke many records at Bonneville and Monthlery.

On one have died in a Napier Railton :) there where only one built so the car is quite unique

That's good that they have build only one, because if there were more of these cars i think a lot of people would die. Ok now seriously how many meters it needs to stop from 274km/h? A 1000?

haha, tell you guys what, next time this car is driven, i'll video it for you, so you can hear the huge engine roar!
this car lives where i go all the time, i've seen it so many times! its often driven on special days.
And it still hold the record around Brooklands race circuit, because in WW2, the race circuit became the place the Wellington Bombers were built, then by the 1960's it was engineering and building concorde, so the circuit was mostly destroyed, but there is a little left of the famous banked curve (first in the world)... and i've driven on it in my car :D quite fast too, its a bit slippy in the wet, but ok in the dry ;)

the car's a classic legend, the last person to drive it was Rowan Atkinson i think...

Ive seen this car in the programm Massive Engines at Discovery Channel. Very cool car!!:cool:

I wonder what the torque is on this babe... and the fuel consumption too!!
