Yeah i don't like this kind of qualification please tuirn it back to the oldschool qualification ! : PLEASE!!
That the Renaults would be fast here i expected that!
But M. Schumacher rweally dissapointed me!!
This race could be the key to the world champion chip! , I think it's really possible Schumi is going for a one stop race!
Alonso is a very good driver btw!!
And indeed that Webber :| what's happening man , I think this things can only happen when Webben just have's 10 Liters of fuel with him or something :S
Or what do you get by the race? Schumi is hold up by Webber and Montoya is gone far away in front!
NOT realistic! don't like it this way , many times the changes are way to diffrent for exaple , Schumacher and Montoya now...
Mallon and Jim You saw it agian/..... Look at those tyres! NO BRIDGESTONE IN TOP 10 except the both FERRARI's
I swear if they had michelins they were about 2 sec. fasteR!
but ok.... i'll see!
I still hope Ferrari gets world champion! either in constructors Chamionchip!

Alfa im getting tired of saying thsi, but Michelins on the F2003-GA would cause it to go slower.
If the F200X was to be developed for michelins then there would be a preformance increase, cause Michelins really are just better, but it would be nowhere near 2 seonds.

Aug 23, 2003, 3:40 PM
Oh,I think that you didn't get the new rules yet.Ferrari's and Williams are fulled up with engine and they were slower at qualifications. The others(Renault,Jaguar, etc.)were in the qualify with no fuel at all. They have to make 2 or 3 pit stops.Schumi will go for 1 and so Williams will do.That's way you saw this qualify so strange.Well my opinion at all!
There is no Bridgestone's point in this race.It makes a role but not so huge. The car makes the difference in the race and the driver of course!
I hope that you understood me.My English...

Schumi dont under estimate how important the tyres are!
In varing climates they have a massive effect!
Also I cant see M. Shumacher nor anyone for that matter only making one stop on a track like Hungary...

hmm Mallon , I don't think your right about that!
IF you on a track and your put Bridgestone tires on the car and make the setup for that car with bridgestone's ok ,. what will take a few laps
And u drive 1.22.358 ok?
Now you pit in and we puty Michelin tires on the car again drive a few laps to get the right setup for the car , i swear to the head of my grandma that that car will be faster ! and in case of Ferrari i'll think it could be 1.5 sec. INDEED!
Bridgestone come's with 20 New tires in a Year!
You think Ferrari Builds 20 new ccars in a year?
NO WAY , they just make the setup perfect to that tres that's al
Don't forget , Williams , Ferrari , McLaren , AIN'T developing the car to their tires! Your wrong about that !!
BRIDGESTONE and MICHELIN DEVELOPING THEIR TIRES TO THE CAR!!!
The get Data from what the car is doing!
Your right about that tires are almost the most important thing!
that's you communication to the road , your only communication! ;)

will someone who know sometihn gabout F1 say something here. Of Course they develop the car toward a certain tyre.
As you said before you arent an F1 Fan!
You also said that the tyres are one of the most important things and it is the only communicatino to the road - do you think this wouldnt be good reason to make your car suit the charicteristics of certain tyres?

Aug 24, 2003, 9:16 AM
no i think you understand me wrong hard to explain in English!
hmm.. what i want to say is : Like Ferrari now could go drive on Michelins and your right proberly the first lap would go quite slow and bad!
But you right you have to make / find a GOOD setup for that tires!
BUt for the topteams Bridge for Ferrari Michelin for BMW and McLaren are developing their tires FOR McLaren and BMW , They get tire data aswell from BMW and McLaren to develop their tires better and better!
So i mean if Ferrari is going to drive on Michelins now... ANd of course like they always do on every track made their setup perfect in combination of their tires...
IF they've done that i almost know for sure the Ferrari will be quite alot faster!
Look to the race Hongaruring now... not normal , it's clear the bridgestone's just have a problem

Why were you talking about only 1 pit stop??
As you saw, almost everyone made 3 stops!!!
Alfa Romeo 156 GTA
Aug 24, 2003, 3:13 PM
Yeah because no one could ever imagine that Schumi was so slow in qualification they all thought ohh no.... Schumi is gonna try to get in front to make only 1 pitsstop!
Our dutch Programm maker<--- don't know how to call that... siad that , WOULD schumi be on a 1 stop? It could be!
Well after seen the race i'm happy he did not , because i think that wouldn't help him anyway!

I know this is hard for you to accept, Alfa.... But very good and young drivers keep on coming to F1. But the new rules also make it harder for M. Schumacher. Maybe Micheal simply has surpassed his time. Maybe he's not as good as he once was. And thanks to the rules, drivers have more equal chances on getting pole positions. Because of this, drivers now show their real capabilities. And the result was quite surprising, i think: Micheal really isn't as good as we all thought, there are even a few drivers who are as good, or even better than him. I think that if both Schumachers, Montoya, Raikkonen, Webber, Alonso and Jos would be put in the exact same car, the results would be about equal.
jimkk29
Aug 25, 2003, 8:45 AM
It's almost like that. I believe Michaels time has passed. From now on, the younger drivers will also be getting good positions.

Aug 25, 2003, 10:06 AM
hmm your quite right about that!
BUT M. Schumacher is i think still the fasted but the car is totally crap!
Ya right about there coming MUCH new younger drivers to the F1 , BUT there still is NO other driver what is a Talent like M.Schumacher is , and i think there ( not yet ) is no driver who can even come close to M.Schumacher's records!
Raikonen is good , But NOT a Talent like Schumi!
Alonso comes close but is absolutly not a talent like schumi!
Ya can see that fast enough!
Schumacher was/IS good IN EVERYTING that's in or about the F1 , he could run a team exactly to his hand! just when it runs PERFECT!
I see no other driver who can do that!
ALonso is good but is bad in handling with PR ect.
But whati think is that Schumacher is getting a bit tired off of the F1... I think this season or next season will be his last !!
BUt if i have to believe him , HE'll NEVER LEAVE FERRARI
That's one of my reasons why i love Ferrari F1 it's diffrent than every other F1 team ..
Like as Schumacher said : Ferrari isn't a Team : Ferrari is a FAMILY! and i'm part of it! i'll never leave it!
I think he's gonna work as an manager or something if he quit's driving!

However, keep in mind that the younger drivers are inexperienced and they race for the first or second year in their lives! They do not have the experience of Michael. When they become experienced like him (at least 6-7 years of racing), then we will see what they can do.

The Ferrrari at present is one of the best in the championship - what are you basing something like that on?

I dont agree with that, I think Alonso has something about him that makes me think hes going to be amazing in future, already hes done something Schmacher couldnt do - win a GP at 22. (granted he did have alot of good fortune)
ALonso is good but is bad in handling with PR ect.
How do you mean?? He has a massive fan base. Alsono he sounds and is such a genuine 'nice' person, unlike Schumacher who appears typically german with no sense of humour.
And even if that was true who cares about PR - hes a racing driver.
But whati think is that Schumacher is getting a bit tired off of the F1... I think this season or next season will be his last !!
Hes signed a contract to the end of 2006.
That's one of my reasons why i love Ferrari F1 it's diffrent than every other F1 team ..
Like as Schumacher said : Ferrari isn't a Team : Ferrari is a FAMILY! and i'm part of it! i'll never leave it!
Now I really dont agree with that, How many times have you seen Jean Todt hug Schumacher like Flavio Briatore and Alonso did?

Ferrari said that by them selves Last race Ferrari did even said WHAT their problem is it's their Chassis!

Well i don't can speak with facts here , but that's just my feeling and again it's hard to explain in english BUT , Schumacher was THE PERFECT racing driver , in tactics ect too and ya remember the race in Monaco EVERY DRIVER in F! followed SChumi tire's choise and last minute Schumi stepped in his REAL other car with diffrent tires and because HIS tactic was better than EVERY other driver who have BRAINS too , HE won the race! EVERYONE followed Schumi , now that will say something!!
Schumi was / Is smart he always knew WHAT to say ect.
Well... Schumacher got EVERYTHIONG you need for THE BEST racing driver!
i don't know how to explain to you . but ... The picture was complete u know?
I don't THINK alonso have that , But MAYBE hi's Driving art is almost that good as that one's of Schumacher BUt DON'T forget .. THAT'S not the only thing that counts in F1!!
Mallon Wrote :

Well he is INDEED a VERY good racing driver BUt ... I don't know or PR was the good word but don't know how to explain diffrent in English , but agian .. if the picture is not complete it's gonna be hard for him , and i think his PR is quite good so i think he'll join a topteam!! I hope FERRARI! But i don't think He will be a Talent like Schumacher is : Don't forget He was a SUPER TALENT!!

Wel Mallon i can tell ya , Your not following F1 quite good than! every time when Schumi won he huged Jean Todt!
AND i think almost everyone on this forum know this , But Schumacher and Todt are VERY big friends!
Remember when Schumacher broke his leg in Silverstone i thought?
JEan Todt was EVERY DAY with him in the hospital to keep him happy with Corina ( schumi's wife ) and his oldest sone Mick!
PLayed cards with him!
Well Flavio wouldn't do that , M. Schumacher said about Flavio : Flavio could be a good "friend "of you IF YOU WIN ( and schumi did that! )
Look back when Trulli was not going so good : HE was really awfull against Trulli!!
NO Read EVERY MAGAZINE and listen to schumi when he talks on TV or something !
I know he said that MANY times : FERRARI IS LIKE MY FAMALY!!
Everyone know's that!
hope u understand my english :)

Eh hem. I shall assure you that Schumacher does not chose tyres nor doesn he imput on any other tactics. Ferrari have men in the pits to do and take cerdit for that job. Any tactical imput by ANY driver during a race is minimal and/or would have been done anyway.

Well that's what i mean Schumi does that together of course with Ross Brawn but M.Schumacher thinks by hisself much more as another driver his , chiose counts MUCH biogger than iof Barrichello should say something about that... You know what i mean ??
The picture is complete , He Casn discuss About EVERYTING in the team , He Know's Almost EVERYthing what happened ect. in the team , of course Brawn is better than Schumacher in Tactics but Schumi is GOOD in that?
Ya know what i mean?
Schumacher's choise has a big countin the team you know if Schumi said i'm gonna those for that tires of course Ross Brawn HAVE to agree wioth it , but Other driver Don't EVEN discuss abou that with ross and are simply not as good as schumi is on that part... HE is simply the best driver there is ?

Yeah fok that's what i mean hard to explain in english! i don't know what u guys did exactly understand from PR , BUt i mean His Communication OUTSIDE the team is wuite good but , you know you have to do SOO many things outside racing , with sponsors and stuff ect. you know? i thought that had the same name or something as PR but i don't think he's good in that , Like Schumi is ,. I think that's a Thing why Schumi can Make from a normal team , A TOPTEAM , like he did with Renault Benetton , AND FERRARI!!
hope u know what i mean?

Hmm we both can show facts to prove ourselves but i know for almost sure that he signed like THAT way that contract!
And if Schumi wants to stop : HE STOP NO not ofcourse right now or sometimes , buit I SWEAR HE CAN SAY! I'll stop next year or over two years and that's what i was talking about!
Who can stop his thoughts?
For the money believe me that';s not a reason for schumi to still sign for a year as an Driver ;)
And Jimm , Your right about that there are coming NEWER And YOUNGER DRIVERS who are Really fast to!! , well i ageree that schumacher is getting slower and older that's logical but i still think he is the fasted driver there is ..
well proberly we'll never agree about this ;)

Well, for being sincere, Michael, with all the respect that he deserves, is losing the motivation and maybe the touch too. I mean, he had the car to pass Trulli. But he didn't. And later, he'll maybe regret himself losing that single point.
Now, the Hungaroring podium showed us the next generation of the F1, Alonso, Raikkonen and of course, Montoya. Three excellent drivers, wiht their respective flaws of course, in three different top-teams. :)
And I personally think that Williams is going to win the Constructor's Championship.
And that the Driver's Championship is going to be defined in Suzuka.

Schumi lose his motivation that's what i still was tryin to say!
indeed why didn't he overtake schumi? , i think he thought to high risk!
That's why i think he won't driving 2 seasons anymore....
But anyway we may not forget he has a wife and two childeren i think Schumi thinks alot about that! i'm thinking that's one reason why he is not taking that much risks anymore!
There is indeed coming a new group of tyounger drivers agian .... That's a second reason why i think Schumi MAYBE drive's next year but not the year after! because else he's trowing away his name as : THE BIG DRIVER , MOST SUCCESFULL DRIVER EVER!
You know what i mean? , something like what is happened with HH Frentzen!
But i think Alonso is the biggest new talent of , Montoya Raikonen ect.
