30+ DP (Daytona Prototype) cars from 6 different chassis builders and powered by production engines from 6 different carmakers were entered for the Grand-Am test days 2 weekends ago at Daytona. 9 regular Nascar drivers are firm DP driver entries for the 24. It sounds like the makings of a competitive series to me.

The twice-around-the-clock race on the 3.56-mile road course at the "World Center of Racing" traditionally serves as the "kick off" of the international racing calendar.

I dont really like this road race. Kind of boring. But I'll be watching a bunch of it probably.
