Another new WRC evolution is ready for its debut in the next WRC round in Mexico, the Skoda Fabia WRC Evo 2.

As you can see on some stickers, Skoda will soon celebrate 100 years from producing the first car Laurin & Klement.

I've said it before, and i'll say it many times again, this car has great potential, but potential is useless unless it can be used effectively, lets hope they can work it right, they some new drivers, and I see a green future for WRC :p especially since Red is pulling out leaving blue, white and red/silver left, so green has a good hope (sorry about that, but colours are easier than typing the teams out :p)

You are not the only one talking about its "potential". Czech fans of Skoda are already allergic on that word. :) Every time they hear "potential" from a driver, new or old at Skoda, team boss... they are going angry. They are hearing it a long time and the Skoda WRC is still not winning (but has a big potential :)). (Although Skoda was pretty successful in world rally long ago with 1300RS.)

There are now rumors (and they are getting stronger) that concern brother Audi will take over the WRC program (witch would fit better in the group segmentation). True is, that also in TV ads are Skodas presented more like family car, not mentioning their WRC and Audi now came out with an ad about their rally history. So, some fans think the Fabia WRC will be put under an A3 cover.

Ou, and most Czech Skoda fans also don't like Armin Schwarz.

I quite like the Fabia WRC. I was privledge enough to see the Monte Carlo rally earlier this year. (i'll upload some pics when i have time).

Its quite dissapointing seeing how Skoda has not had any Contructor titles, driver titles and even rally wins since its first rally in 1979.

I hope they'll do better this year.

Czech Skoda fans now started another try to express their views on Skoda's WRC appearance and wrote an open letter to Skoda (with questions on them) and now it is connected with a petition.
