i would take the BMW although the back in that that pretty..
but i think u should compare the phaeton W12 with a 760 then i will defenetly take the BMW ...!
i know between the W12 and the 745 the phaeton have a better engine ...
but i will always be a BMW lover ..

if u compare the BMW with the 6 liter engine and the phaetons 6 liter engine then BMW
if u compare 4.4 liter engine for the Bmw and a 6 liter engine in the phaeton i will still take the BMW

Id have the audi, without doubt.
Its the best looking out of all of them, And id say its the best handling, being 4 wheel drive and being made aluminium.
And it's infinitely better looking than the BMW!
At the bottom of my list would be the phaeton! - what's the point in it since audi are owned by volkswagen, why do they need to compete with each other!

i read some were it will be in the next couple of year couse they had too many commets about it ...
that why they didn't give the 7 series designer to design the 5 series!

i would doubt it very much - the large executive cars especially arent changed very often, normally a span of 10 years from first conceaved to replacment.
And if they where to replace it Itll be something just as strange. BMW have changed there whole design over the last few years.

What about the S8??

Now, I've driven a 745i, and was very impressed by it. It handles incredibly well, despite its massive bulk, and its acceleration can be described as simply ballistic.

copare the S8 with the 760 ....
i guess the BMW will be better if you like the BMW's design 8)

S8 v the 760?
The id have to have the S8 - it has 4 wheel drive and an aluminium space frame - and as I said before looks SO much better than the bimmer.

diffrent styles ... diffrent taste ...
the RWD in the Bimmer is great ...
i only sat in the 745i and it was grat...
i liked it more than the Audi ... although its not A8 but its close...
i compared it to an A6 4200 quattro and i liked the Bimmer better...
still cant say about the A8 couse i never saw one !!! not to talk about riding one

I voted for the Mercedes.

Note: the S8 is I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E...

hey jim why dont you give a reason or two :)

and white of course you would prefer a 7 series to an A6, they are in different classes. I think you feel different with the A8/S8 - they make the 7 series look silly.

I voted for the Mercedes because I think that overall it is a better car. The S-class has it's own unique level of quality and excellence, and I think that noone car reach it.

You are so brand-partial  .........but that is ok

I wouldnt pay that insane amount of money for a family car unless i had a hell lot of money, and in that case i would go for an Arnage T, but back to the comparo, IMHO the 7 series has the best drving dynamics for the skilled driver, the S-Class is the classier by far, the audi, the easiest and most forgiving and the phaeton........well, a luxury car with the best price/elegance balance

The S-class has it's own unique level of quality and excellence

why do you feel its unique? - BMW's have higher build quality, Audi's match it anyway.
Whilst the BMW would be a more sportier drive.
I think the S Class it far to common now to warrent 50,60,70K being spent.

The Arnage T is quite a bit more expensve - but its such a cool car! - 0 - 60 in less than 6 seconds even though it weighs 3 tonnes!

If I had that money I wouldnt buy the Arnage - Id buy the Mayback 62. The most powerful saloon in the world 8)

Merc is classier than BMW, bimmer is sportier, you are right there, but quality, Audi is the top of them

I just remembered one that we havent even mentioned - the Jaguar XJR - when I think about it i think it is a joint favourite with the Audi.
Its got the Aluminium body as well. Plus all the car journalist seem to love it.

NOT IN YOUR LIVES!!!
The build quality of the Mercedes is BY FAR the best in the world! Trust me! Merc cars do not have even the slightest flaw in quality!

...no its not! - a recent JD survey said porsche had, followed by Bently.

The mercedes ML class is known for being able to rip the central console out with one hand!

Yes, you're right, bimmer's sportiness is a big plus, but anyway, you will not see an XJR owner racing a 745i owner or such ever

And about this quality thing, you guys are confused, quality is not about which one has more expensive material, thats design and interior materials, they re kinda related, but quality is more about lastability, and well, lexus is on top.......and i dont really like jap cars

You live in a wicked place, anyway, i raced in an S80 T6 once too, it's a nice car, but it's not a racer, maybe if they make an R version with ACC, anyway, i meant they 're not race cars, they are fast cars,

Yep, S60 R rules, btw, i test drove a Z06 and a Fulcon GT today, Z06 is great, but Falcon impressed me, a bit heavy, but it's behavior reminded me of an M version of a midsize sedan that i cannot mention because of the flames i would get when matching a Ford againts a Bimmer

mm difficult
s-class is the best car but there are so many around (at least in london) and they do kind of look like a frog
the A8 is good what with aluminium construction and 4WD
phaeton is nice but it is a VW and it looks like a passat
the bimmer has weird looks as well tho so it wud have to be the audi...and yeh compare the right cars 760Li would win hadns down next time
