i didnt think schumacher would get knocked out or provisional pole by the end. Raikkonen stands a good chance at getting Pole position tomorrow and winning the race, but it most definitly will be a really close race.

McLarens are really quick 2 days now...
So are Ferraris.
If you see Friday practises, 2 won by McLaren , 1 by Ferrari and I cant remember the other.
Now, we must wait tommorrows Qualyfying to see who will gonna get the pole.
I am very optimist that Ferrari will win this race.
The good thing is that in this race they CAN win the race cause the gap is closing...

If the hydraulics dont fail again..
Mark Webber... will he podium? Judging by his recent form, no, because whenever he gets into third something bad happens. Crash in malaysia, spin in Bahrain...

I hope you to have seen the race. If not, you have missed the race of the year. One of the bests in a lot of time. The last half of the race... well, dare I say incredible? That's passion. Shumacher has reduced a distance of more than 30 seconds... and we have been spectators of a final unbelieable.
Another victory for Alonso. A deservable one.

Word up. What. A. Race! Amazing drive from Schumacher, really unbelieveble. Too bad he couldn't overtake Alonso, he would have deserved it 200%!!
If only Schumacher hadn't made that mistake this morning in the qualifying....:(

He also had to be aware of keeping the gap between them and the drivers in front on them. catching them would have been his perdition.

renault have the best max speed 312km/h and ferrari were at 302km/h.
Schumi
Apr 24, 2005, 1:56 PM
Firstly Ferrari was at 309+ top speed.
Secondly Schumacher has the best lap time and the best AVERAGE speed...
http://www.formula1.com/race/result/fastestlaps/735/8.html
Thirdly Schumacher started 14th...
Finally the point is that Ferrari's waked up from the little nap ( :D ) and they are starting to push.
What will happen until the last race of the season.
Renault and Ferrari will gonna fight for the championship.
The worst thing for me was that we lost inside Imola.
But...we will surely win at Monza ;)

The speedtrap is very close to the braking point for the corner. So if you brake earlier, you go slower through the speedtrap, and if you have yet to brake, you're obviously going faster through it.
Maximum speed doesnt say much to me. The average speed is more important.

The finest race within the last 3-year's of F1!. Through the last 15 lap's, Michael was realy gaining on Alonso. He also has advantage through certain part's of the curicut.
I must say that i now think Alonso is the best F1 in the world right now !
Both tyre company's need to work on tyre's though !

are you runing in F1???.. so why michael didn't win????

FIRSTLY so what??? ( watch out you are remind me pournarakis who said that Schumacher will do only 1 pit stop)
i don't like Schumacher i want some change.
i said about max speed because Schumacher was fast at slow parts and alonso was good at fast parts. They were moving equal so it was difficult for michael to win. i didn't mean that the car with top speed always win!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The imola circuit has a characteristic: Is way difficult to overtake on it. If you want to overtake on Imola you better do it with pit stop strategy.
Shumacher was faster than Alonso, but Alonso is specially good when he is in front. He won't get nervous so he is not going to do any mistake that can give the victory to shumacher.
Also, shumacher had pushed his car a lot for the last half of the race, so let me assume his tires weren't suitable for the hard job of overtaking a cold, skilled driver like Alonso is.
Schumi

are you runing in F1???.. so why michael didn't win????
Cause Imola isnt a circuit with too many chances to ovetake...
Its terms of risk. Why should Schumi risk his 2nd place for nothing.
Maybe, if he tried to overtake, he will slip and go out of the race.
Maybe he would gain the first.
So he didnt take the risk.He was expecting an Alonso's mistake.
Alonso didnt make a mistake and drove carefully for 9 laps.
Even Alonso said that Michael was faster and he tried hard to keep him 2nd.
See the Press Conference and the words of all drivers.
I pointed the important thing in previous post.Ferrari's are closing the gap.
If you need a change see some English or Spanish football.
And dont take them to the skull so easily. :P :P (That was greeknglish phrace that not many can understand. :D )
4/4 for Renaults but nothing ended yet.

the most incredible race in F1 in the last couple of years . . . period! Raikkonen would have been in the two way battle with Schumacher and Alonso if he didnt screw up his car. BTW does any know excalty what went wrong with it?

All this talk about Alonso and Schmi, what about Button. I think considering his BAR is not as good as either Renault or Ferrari he did very well to stay as close as he did and actually push Alonso in the early part of the race.
Schumi
Apr 25, 2005, 7:35 AM
I dont have to say anything about BAR cause I didnt see any tests of them or watch what preparations they had done before the race.
But, they were quick and Button took the third, so they did something good and better than the previous races.
Now, Kimi went out with mechanical problems in his gearbox as I saw.

It was the best race i have seen for a long time.
If schumacher didnt stuff up his 2nd qualifying lap, he would probably have won the race, by a rather large margin. Mark Webber did badly again. Too many silly mistakes from him. But, if it wasnt for webber, schumacher probably wouldn't have gotten past button.
EDIT: my 300th post!

Button failed holding shumacher back, unlike Alonso did.
And yes, if shumacher didn't failed his qualifying lap, he would have won the race. He just needed to be 3 or 4 positions above, that would have been enough.

Ralf Schumacher lost his point that he gained at Imola.
About Button, nothing is sure yet.
Anyway, there is another story up now.
The story about Ferrari's testing and the gentlemen's agreement.
This agreement have said that the teams will not make as many tests as they want during the season.
If someone brake it noone can do something cause this is not a law of FIA or something.
Well Ferrari broke that and made more laps of testing for their F2005.
BAR Honda team chief said about it:"Frankly I'm glad Alonso won because if Ferrari had won it would have been a hollow victory and I would have felt very sorry for Renault. It would have been fairly un-sportsmanlike in some ways had Ferrari revelled in a victory when we have handicapped ourselves deliberately by (limiting testing) to keep costs down. Ferrari are flaunting that and this is the result.
"BAR have done more testing than any other team, but Ferrari have done 85 percent more miles than we have by totally ignoring the gentleman's agreement between the teams and putting themselves in a better position. Ferrari undoubtedly will start winning because you cannot test in the way they test with their resources and not benefit versus the rest of us. It was inevitable they would come back."
And I say let them do whatever they want.
They were back and they were trying to close the gap. Its not a crime! :P
Schumi

The funny thing is that FIAT does not give as much money as Ferrari wants and that is a huge minus for the team.
My point is that Ferrari's financial arent that good as other teams are.

I think the two Mclarens will be good for the next race, but I think Ferrari should wake up and help F1, not its own domination.

If that had happened Fernando should have told it at press conference cause this is a big advantage for holding Schumacher back!!!
Plus that if that had happened at least F1.com will mentioned it...

Just to improve the Spanish driver image much more...Thats the reason IMO.
If that happened every official site would write it...
