I need a good car for racing my friends at highschool with suped up el caminos and stock mustangs. Whats a good car for about $4,000. Please help. I was thinking a honda crx?

With a post like that, you're just asking for it.

But in actuality, go for a Nissan 240SX, Ford Probe, Mazda MX6, Mazda Miata, or something along those line's. Good luck on your search. Try local police auctions also as they tend to have good deals on great cars.

But seriously, aren't we being hypocritical? I mean everytime someone mentions the word everyone's quick to shoot mim/her down, telling them they're an idiot, laughing- how many people here can honetly say "no, i have never street raced in my life". bear in mind that i am in no way justifiing street racing and saying that it's ok, but this a car enthusiats' forum. No one here has ever done a stop light drag? no one's ever responded to someone eyeing you on the highway and speeding off? Wasnt there an forum where everyone bragged about their top speed- how many of these were on tracks?

There's a difference between the occasional stop light drag and purposefully going out daily to get money or "respect" for racing people on pubilc roads.

Buy a motorcycle. Duh.

Buy a forest and get lost in it.

Leave the guy alone. If he's so keen on street racing there's no stopping him. I'd take it out on the track tho. It's more difficult and exiting. There's something you should think about.
