NISMO blows my mind! Nissan makes some killer cars. They seem to be the most perfomance oriented Japanese manufactuer that I know of. They have the Skyline series, the Z series, the Sylvia series, and the V-Spec badge for the Sentra too! I don't know of anyone else making so many high performance cars at the same time :!: :!: :!:
All of them are such awesome machines.

I don't care much for the current Nissan styling but that will thankfully change shortly. the "tooth" thing they ahd going I don't feel looks too good. Otherwise the V-Spec Sentra SE-R looks really tight and is making decent power for a N/A four cylinder. I wish they would be able to match it with the Civic type- R though and get a good 200 hp even out of it. that would be a sweet Sentra!
I'd even like a 98' thats NISMO tuned and this areokit. How tight is this car? Very little in the way of competition against it!

Well of course i love the Skyline R34 don't wurry..
But i disslike it the Nissan Are more Renaults now... that's really bad.. i can tell u cause the new huspent of my mum drive's a BRAND new Terraro NOTHING else than Problems!!
Really thanx to Renault And in this Case FORD cause the new Terrano is toghether developed with Ford...
Nissan is reliable but Renault REALLY isn't!

I'll have to agree that Nissan would be better without Renault. They only help they need from Renault is financial help.

They are the Tein Flex's. The HE's are nice but would be too harsh for the street. I felt these were the best all around coilover for me. Plus I can get the Electronic dampening controller for it. They retail for over $1400. I got them for about $1200 through a friend. Spring rates are 8 front, 7 rear max.

jim i couldn't agree with you more, nissan is better independant then with Renault who is just in it for the profits, I am glad Renault helped them out though becasue nissan may have been bankrupt by now if renault did not help. In the long run nissan is better as independant then being part owned by renault. I think Renault is getting more out of this relationship then Nissan

Worth the wait?!? That thing is a disgrace to the Skyline name! Nissan is definately the best! The 240Z, 280ZX, 300ZX, 350Z, R-32, R-33, R-34 (not to mention GT-R models), Nismo Sentra, Nissan SE-R Spec V, and the best of all, Fairlady Z32 (japanese edition??). All are very high performing cars.
BTW, Alfa, I just want to know... what makes you so interested in Alfa Romeos? Its a very small engine plant.. 1.8liter 8 valve non-turbo? Besides the fact that there are almost no aftermarket parts for them... I want to hear facts though. Not just that you've had one for 5 years and it hasn't broken down.. or that it seems really fast when you are driving down the highway. :)

Dude the fastest and more powerful Alfas are the 147 GTA and 156 GTA, which have 240HP and 250HP respectively (both 3.2lt V6). Normal Alfas have like 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 lt engines. There are also some 2.5lt (for the 166) versions but they are rare.

166 3.2cc (240hp)
GTV 3.2cc (240hp)

The G35 (or G36, i forget) is gonna rock the automotive world....hopefully  and as far as small displacement engines having poor power? Hello! S2000! Civic Type-R! Integra Type-R! Hehe, I'm sure that the Italian I-4's can whip out at least 200 hp and 160-170 lb-ft of torque with a good modification job. Anyway, if Alfas were all really slow, I'd still like them because of their excellent style!

You said 'all', that's why I found it funny. And you weren't really close, cause 90+% of Alfas sold have max 2.0lt engines. They are not supercars, they are average everyday cars. And IMO they are not the "top compacts in Europe" as you say; I would definitely pick something else.
 Geo_x: I know about all those, but you are just picking the top versions of each model, whic are very rare... How many times have you seen a 3.2 Alfa (any type)? Like once or twice in your life?

Personally I really like the old school styling of the 280z and 240z, but performance wise I like the 300zx the best... whats not to like about 300hp, twin turbos, and 4-wheel steering? (yes the 300zx has 4ws) I think that it would be incredibly smart for Nissan to do a twin-turbo 350z.. they would sell a ton of those.. :D. BTW.. in 1994 the 300zx was worth around ~ 30k... am I right? Because now they sell for about 10k.. do they depreciate that much??

Japan Grand Touring Championship was rocked this year by Nissan. they gotta be doin' something right here to win both the series. GT500 - Xanavi R34. GT300 - Endless Z. great job, nissan. the new skyline (G35) is a great body, too. and once they put the VQ35DE(TT) in there (GTR!) these things will sweep the racing world. (well in japan for sure at least).

Nissan has been doing great things lately. Well, they have for a long time. They have a serious amount of performance cars out there. Its too bad they kept them all in Japan. Someone forgot to mention the Bluebird by the way. An AWD SR20DET powered Altima. I just hope that the Skyline doesnt turn out to look like the 350z. I still like the RB motors better than the VQ's. But when the developement for racing gets put into the VQ it will be a nice bonus for the 350z, G35, and Maxima owners!
