just saw a wrx sti with all the stickers and such and the hidden lights. Not a bad little ride, maybe now they will stop chasing just the muscle cars and start catching everyone. Problem with cops now is, although many of us may be able to outrun the officer or the vehicle there is no car on earth that will outrun a radio!!

Yeah, if they call in the chopper you're screwed no matter what car your in. I've always thought you should pack a radar detector and try to keep the racing on the track, where your car shows what its really made of.

Most cop cars are already moddified heavily so most are fast as it is. One quick question though, aren't all Sti's manual transmission. If so, than they cannot be cop cars. I could be wrong however with the transmission though.

not sure, i try not to run on the street but it's just fun to play around a little in the first couple gears. From what i have heard cop cars aren't greatly modified for low end power but are delivered without top out or sped limiters or any other government controlers on them so although you can beat them to 120mph they will catch you cuz while most cars now are limited to around 130-140moph top speed they are not, not sure if it's true but a friend in the state patrol told me that.

well apprently the cops in colorado are using them as police cars, not a bad idea actually in England and Australia they use WRXs and Evo as cop cars too

yeah same here, actually had one pull up on me at a red and ask me I would race. Ha I said no, he was like why not I was like cuz if and when i win I go to jail and if I lose I still go to jail and you laugh at me too. not coo. but isn't that entrapment? I can race him up at Bandimere in the spring so no regrets

psh. This is nothing new. Police have had corvette and cobra mustang pursuit cars for years. The only diffrence is that this time it's japanese. But it's one thing to catch up with the suspect. It's another thing trying to get him to stop! 8)

I tink my towns cops got it better. Half of them have big BMW motorcycles instead of harleys or kawasakis.
