As I won't be here...again, for the Grand Prix (will be in France i am gonna start the thread a day & a bit early.
Istanbul should be a good race...
a) It's the first F1 race on the circuit, so the talented drivers should show through.
b) Zonta has the fastest lap so far 1.25

Also Alonso has been practising all weekend on his PS2, and guess what he won EVERY time, beating fellow racers such as Shumacher :P
Renault worked out he should be lapping at 1.25 but only got it down to 1.26. that's virtual reality for ya. great idea though don't ya think? He says he's ready for the race and even though McLaren may have the fastest car, he has the most experience & can put it to good use!! :P

I think this should be exciting since it's the first time they race here

the poor guy is retiring in like 2 more seasons, let him get to 10 championships and then its anybodies game....plus why does everyone hate shcumi... you know what i like about this guy, he has won everything in F1, yet he still goes to the podium and smiles and jumps... take Kimi on the other hand, if that guy ever smiles the world would come to an end.. and theres alot like them, Montoya is always menstruating, senna,just looked like he didnt care, etc., etc.

Concensus is that the Istanbul track sux. The 4-radius, turn 8 screwed up qualifying. It screwed Juan near the end. A pole-to-checker leader does not excite me.

Yes Kimi checked out but only because his car was so superior , not because of the track. And elsewhere in the pack there was more overtaking than we usually see in F1 and the complete in-board camera lap showed a very exciting course, the most exciting section being that 4 apex turn !

In a late-'60's zero downforce era, the whoop-de-doos in the 4 radii turn might have been considered challenging. In present day low clearance/flatbottom/splitter cars, they were extreme terrain. Would you ask Baja 1000 buggies to run 250 miles on a paved road course?

Actually they said they'll make one in Orhomenos or in Patra... Maybe in 5 or more years they'll have it ready and we'll go to watch but since then only in SEF, Vouta, Mavri, Limanakia, Kryfi etc... By the way... Dimitris your saxo is hot!!!
