The NSX-R has a more race-like appearence and configuration.
Check the difference in the pics here: http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/acura_nsx.asp

There's actually lots of differences between the NSXR and the NSX..
don't know if you guys ever watched the jap video series 'BEST MOTORING' but they get those JGTC drivers to test the new cars and do comparisons...
The parts in the C32 engine has been blue printed and most parts are strengthened... it weights a lot less than a standard NSX and the use of aerodynamics helped the handling a lot.. the suspension was specifically tuned to handle better on race track
The video showed some 0-400m race and the NSXR outran a BNR34 and a Porsche GT3... They also had a race on track and it also came first by 12seconds in a 5 lap race..

Yes I have some Best Motoring videos...
Question: what does it mean to "blueprint" the engine?

Blueprinting is like....they take the engine apart, almost completely, and they measure VERY single dimension to, I dunno, triple check that everything is the right size so they can accurately modify the engine without the danger of something being wron in the engine block. thye make sure everything is dead stright as well. This basically eliminates the posibility of something bad going on inside the modified powertrain. It's for safety + performance.

They also balance every part when they blueprint usually....

what's the difference between the NSX-R and the NSX/NSX-T?
they pretty much covered what the Type-R was. and the NSX-T is just the NSX-Targa. just means a nifty little moonroof/convertible type thing.
