Qualifying as follows http://www.formula1.com/race/result/747/22.html
good laps from both the McLarens and Trulli...I am reallly hoping Alonso can get lots of points because i want him to win! Red-Bull are well down too....you're thoughts?

I'm guessing Raikkonnen will win, with Montoya 2nd or 3rd, if everything goes right.

Why not???
Do you not like him?

!ChEeKy GiRl!
Sep 10, 2005, 9:41 AM
no because i want Alonso to win, i don't really want Kimi to steal the championship from him right now, Alonso deserves it he's come so far and i don't want to see the disappointment on his lil face!

It's close to impossible for Alonso to lose the championship right now...

if he is out of every race & kimi wins he will, i just want him to win it and be over it then whatever can happen

I really thought Alonso couldn't wheel it, but after watching him hold off Schumacher in a faster car for 11 laps a few GP's back, I changed my mind. The kid can drive. Raikonnen is better though, without the reliability issues McLaren has suffered, he's probably be 25 points up on Alonso right now, not the other way around.

F1 is fun to watch. I was actually watching the qualifying laps from those drivers, it was amazing to see them basically do a time attack. Can't wait for the real race to start. Whose the dude with the honda motor? well, im pullin for him. haha, I never appreciated it before because of the ugly body, but geez those things are fast and have great handling. im a noob when it comes to watching F1, but they currently use NA V-10's right? when do they switch to V-8's? haha, sorry for all the noob questions, but its never too late to start getting interested in it.

There is one team that uses Honda engines. And Sato and Button are their drivers.
They're switching to V8's next year

If it wasn't for the Bridgestone tyres Ferrari would rule in this championship...

you know who is probably most disappointed right now? is Ralph, if he had stayed on intermidiate tires he might have taken over first place, or for sure been atleast in the podium.

what a brilliant Grand Prix, great result. and good on Sato for giving Schmi a taste of his own medicine, that just made us all laugh...it was a bit of a kerfuffle wasn't it though! Poor old Montoya, but that's racing and it looked like it was Antonio's fault anyway. And didn't Jensen do well.

I don't hate him cause he had a good car and a good team. I hate him cause of his attitude. I mean, what kind of immature brat walks out of their car and smacks another driver in the head? Did you guys see that? Sato took out schumacher, which was definetly his fault. But then Schumacher walked over and smacked him, as if he was smacking a little child for stealing candy. He treats everyone as an inferior.

My question is, if he's such an amazing driver, how come he isn't faster? Look at Senna. When Honda dropped McLaren in 1993, they were a very weak team. However, he still managed to win like, five races and get second in the driver's championship. Now that's a real driver.

I'd do the same. Even when I was driving a Minardi, and some worldchampion took me out.

Villeneuve had the best strategy this race.
But monteiro did better, eight in a Jordan!

Yes, if he goes on he will have a hell of a record !
Might take a while before someone else does that again.

No one mentioned Kimi's amazing lap straight after he was released from behind Montoya, 2s faster than anyone else at the time. What a driver. If he had any sort of luck he would have been awarded his second world championship now. (the first being '03 when he finished a couple of points behind old 'high and mighty', after having engine failure while in the lead at a few GPs earlier in the year. Kimi deserves it so much more than Alonso!!! Maybe Montoya should take Alonso out for a game of 'Tennis' hahahaha.

i have to disagree MM 'cos Alonso's been very consistent all the season and even though, yeah i agree kimi hasn't been lucky, it doesn't mean that Alonso has it all on luck or that he's a bad driver, he isn't he held up shucmi for a good 10 laps

Everyone says tires were their downfall. I'm also thinking aerodynamics helped. I mean, they did have those strict aerodynamic rules for this year, so I wouldn't be suprised if Ferrari's key to winning so much was the way they channeled the air around their car.

I know for sure it wasn't the engine or mechanical/electonical advantages because McLaren had probably the best car in 1999/2000/2001 and they still didn't win. Partially the drivers, partially luck, partially strategy.

Yeah, much as i hate to say it i rekon ferrari is just going through a bad year. I have no doubt they will bounce back (Grrrrr). But i am just amazed that after all their past dominance and their massive amount of testing this year that it hasn't happened already. I am having such a good year on that front though. I think it rocks that the arrogant way they run last years car at the start of the season backfired so badly, and even the new car didn't help. :)

Ferrari's engines are made for----1 race
Ferrari's qulifying is made for-----1 lap
Ferrari's race is made for---------Winning
When the only way they can win is being agaisnt Minardis & Jordans Ferrari is----smug
Ferrari's car is ready for this season----100% agree
Shcumacher is getting to big for his boots----agree
Did they allow for faster cars----No
New/Better drivers----No

there's the factors why Ferrari just aren't winning

Same here, but i was expecting someone other than alonso. Kimi? Ralf? Culthard? Barichello? Montoya? Great drivers who have deserved better but have not achieved better due to bad spotlights.. Culthard could have won but he focused on making Mika Hakkinen win, Montoya had just a descent start. Again he was under his team... Barichello was just dominated by michael and Ralf just hasn't been lucky.

I felt that ferrari should have lost years when they introduced the Vodafone car. Something about it that I didn't like. Maybe the all of a sudden change. But they got a bit lucky and made it throgh. This year they sucked. next year, I am looking for a mix of teams/drivers and hopefully find something amazing once again like 1999/2000/2001/ and even before that where competition was #1.

OMG How bad is this Sato's been moved down 10 places on the grid of the brazillian gp because of his crash with shumacher!!! Schumacher's knocked loads of people off and NEVER got anything like that!
Pizzonia's been fined $8000 because of his crash with Montoya...these were racing acidents people and they happen...i think this is unfair!

Cooper "s"
Sep 16, 2005, 4:24 PM
Sato got fined ten places for being too crazy... that dude seem sot hate braking... maybe in japan that BAR car gets 4 tons of downforce and he got used to not braking, i dont know.. Yet i agree with the FIA, the guy is a morron, It the same that happened in the 2002 Interlagos race where Verstapen owned Montoya from the back, and Montoya was in the lead, he got fined too...so yea.....and Pizzonia, I mean my god a whole race all you see is cars with dry tires crashing, and they go ahead and do the same, its more of Williams fault not Pizzonia, but just the same, someone always has to pay
