its a 4x4, that you get in america - id guess it is the same underneath as the Lexus RX sereis - they seem to look quite simialr.

Anyway we're mostly europeans here - so maybe try some american car sites!

Just try google maybe
like here:

OK now I got it... "Toyota Harrier" is just a different name for the Lexus RX300!
Well it sure is a good SUV, perhaps one of the best you could get with that price.
However, I'd never buy it because I hate all SUVs.

There is no such thing in US, the Toyota SUVs are Higlander, LandCruiser, Crap 4 ermmm Rav 4, and 4 Runner, i guess it maybe based on the highlander, but im not sure, highlander is based on the Camry

Yeh, the Harrier (or RX330 as it is known here, harrier in japan) is sold here in its latest version. It used to be a grey import (ie imported from Japan personally), however is now available via dealers. In my opinion it is a piece of crap, as are all SUV's. Centre of Gravity is way too high, too heavy, too slow, too bad

SPECS

Engine
3MZ-FE
3311cc
V6/DOHC/4v
172kW(234HP)@5600
328Nm@6300

Drivetrain
Constant 4WD
5 Spd Auto

Curb Weight
1875KG/4134lbs

PIECE OF CRAP

PIECE OF CRAP

id share that opinion!

a grey import (ie imported from Japan personally

is a grey import not just a japanesse version of a car whether its imported by yourself or a dealer?

Well, Lemme see. I as well strongly dislike SUV's, Mainly the stupididly large Ford Excursions and Expeditions. They suck up gas, 90% of the owners will never take them off road, most people driving them donot realize how to handle 2+ tons of unstable vehicle, and they have taken away from the other market areas, leaving them somewhat lacking, at least in the US.

This Toyota Harrier isn't tooo bad I suppose though. Here in the States its simply a Lexus model, and the newest is the RX330.

I mostly agree with the opinion sections in the above article. It's pretty damn sharp for an SUV and definitly unlike a truck as possible. Yeah, it's still bigger than most people need, but it's not going to be very common because of it's price. I would definitly consider getting one if I had a larger family, seeign as how comfortably it would accomidate 5 people and aall fo thier luggage. But I'm only 20, so thats a bit off in the furutre
I do think that I would get a Touareg as well, it's not nearly as big and clumsy as any SUV and it's got a sweet 6-speed automatic to have good performance and improve fuel economy.

The best SUV ever is the Porsche Cayenne turbo, although it spoils the sport image of the company.

whatever ....!
the Porsche Cayenne isn't an SUV ...
SUVs can go on real offroads but the Porsche Cayenne is only a big car with lots of power , but in offroads its terrible ...!

Actually, I've read that it has great off-road capabilities.

here is a Quote from Top Gears test drive about the car ...
Although Porsche have not tried to create the ultimate off-roader, the Cayenne's adjustable air suspension, low-ratio gearbox and optional locking rear diff renders it more than capable of crossing muddy car-parks.

the car can go offroads but not to hardcore offroads..... its like Audi allroad or the X5 the ML320 and others... but all ofthem aren't really good in hardcore offroads ....

OK, if you want to go really hardcore offroads then you should get sth like a wrangler. Very few people will be interested in that. Most buyers will be more than satisfied with the off-road capabilities of the Cayenne.
