I watched parts of that race. It's the second time I have ever tryed to watch a car race.
Who was driving around with no windscreen or rear window?
With the cars like the super cheap auto car, is that sold to super cheap auto by holden as a replica of their car or is it Holdens car sponsed super cheap auto?

It was the lowndes/Muller car..
A great drive by skaife and kelly. And a good drive by ambrose too, although he crashed quite spectacularly.

Craig Lowndes and Yvan Muller.
I'm shattered Murphy didn't win, but good to see Jason Richards on the podium.

While I was at work I was praying in my break that it would be Skaife and Murphy for a 1 and 2 finish. I was shattered when I saw the crash.
Is it just me or did anyone else want it to rain a bit to make it more interesting?

If I'm not mistaken, it did rain a little bit, just enough to make the top of the mountain slightly slippery.

actually ambrose cut murphy off, causing a pile up. he will most probably be fined that.

Ok, I was at work for 80% of the race. I only saw the last 30 or so laps and the start.

^it only has to rain for a few minutes to have an impact on the race, especially with tyre temperatures.

WRONG!
murphy had the inside lane for the corner and ambrose had no choice but to turn in because if he didnt he would have gone into the wall. if murphy had given more space or let him take the position, this whole thing never would have happened. there is more of a chance that murphy will give fined compared to ambrose!

its pointless argueing about the crash. holden people will say ambroses fault. ford muphys fault.
holden use ford front suspension anyway.
but anyway. look at the road car. i am a ford man so you will say i am biased but the build quality on the falcon is so much better than a commodore. commodores are extremely clunky cars. push the button to open the boot. huge grinding sound. open the doors. huge clunk. the boot hinges suck ass too. they take up boot space when you close the boot.
EDIT:Hsv such also. they say fpv is stupid because of the typhoon and its unaustralian because its not a v8. and then say they will only make v8s. and come out with a turbo astra. what is up with that

Mate I have driven a GT-P and a new clubsport r8. The GT gets owned in every aspect by the clubsport-performance, comfort, handling, looks.
The track was wide enough for two cars to get around, neither driver gave way when they both could have gotten through-ambrose is at fault because he changed his line across the track instead of using the outside, and he still would have been in front of murphy using the outside.

Bathurst was a brillant race, the people who deserved to win dominated, like skaife/todd. Pitty Jim Richards didn't get to race.
Ambrose and Ingall finaly got was coming to them, i have never seen a bigger f*** wit in motorsport than Ambrose, he will fit in well in NASCAR.
That would be 5 times Skaife has won Bathurst now,
1991 GibsonMotorSport Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Jim Richards/Mark Skaife
1992 GibsonMotorSport Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Jim Richards/Mark Skaife
1992-93 Nissan GT-R's were banned as they were to dominate!!!
2001 HRT Holden Commodore Skaife/ don't remember
2002 HRT Holden Commodore Skafie/Jim Richards
2005 HRT Holden Commodore Skaife/Todd Kelly

yes skaife is a very good driver, was 2001 with lowndes?
The GTR's were very lucky to win in 92 considering they crashed in to wall while they were leading, causing the race to be stopped completely. But since the race was stopped the car that was first on the previous lap wins-much to the disappointment of the ford fans and Dick Johnson who soon overtook.

Yeah that 1992 win by the GT-R would have to be the biggest controversy in Australian motorsport, there has never been such a huge reaction from the public before it or after it. The crowd chanted "BULL SH** BULL SH** BULL SH**" as Jim Richards and Mark Skaife came onto the podium thats when Jim Richards Said to the hugely pissed off crowd "Your all a pack of Arse Holes".

That is the one I am talking about, rules are rules though and that is why the GT-R won the race. No one would have been complaining if it was the other way around.
