Evo in my opinion the new evo 8 is incredible. Faster with better handling

well subaro is a good car and is fast my friend has one bue the lancer evo... is the best and well is like powerfull and better handling

I vote for EVO 8 although the STI is cheaper (also slower 0-60)! I was interested and made a compare: money/0-60 performance ofr the evo 8 and the sti and i think that if you buy an sti (that's around 30000 $ in bucharest (no taxes)) you can tune the engine with a prodrive kit for less the difference between the evo8 and the sti and smash for sure an evo8! Now if we are talking about the FQ 300 well that's another story! I for one would take for sure the evo8 because it's has a better handling and better performance despite the price. AND LOOKS BETTER THAN THE STI!
I Heard about a tuner that would take the evo 8 FQ engine and raise it to 345 hp (turbos, exhaust and some other struff)! IMAGINE THAT ENGINE WITH NITROUS...but that's only a dream...at least ofr me :)

EVO 8. Better overall.

I'd say it comes down to personal taste in looks and style. Even if one gets to 60 a second faster than the other, they are both very fast cars with gobs of power. Both are very tunable and are sharp looking stock, but still can be customized to look however you would want. The hanlding diffrences I am nto sure of, but both have superb AWD systems and damned good suspension. I'd take either one over any US car ever made and maybe 90% of any other make, new or old. If I HAD to choose, I'd go with the Evo 8 strictly on looks. But I do like the the STi's newer style(less "bubbly") as well, just barely a little less than the e8.

well i love the EVO its faster and better handling
but i have seen a lot of magazine articles, that says the Subaru STI is better.
they drive them and i dont, but well i dont care i would buy the EVO is better looking

the hell the evo is faster

well even though many people would choose the evo8 i'd still tkae the sti it seems like a nicer car imo and well the evo has just lost its rally styling with the evo8 while the sti retains that rally inspired look. all in all if i had a choice between the two of them i would take the sti for its styling and saying Subaru Impreza WRX STI with 300hp is just more fun. But i wouldn't mind having a evo8 also :wink:

I think that an STi would be able to do 0-100 about as fast as the Evo. You we're comparing a regular imreza wrx to the evo.

The Evo. I read a very interesting article in car and driver about the two. They drove the two on the same rally course, and even though the STi is faster and more powerful, the Evo spanked it. That just goes to show how great the evo handles. In my opnion, nobody can touch it!

def. a sti... sti is faster looks better.. mitsubishi makes a bad car. sti is cheaper

Actually, I believe the Mistubishi Lancer Evo8 is slightly faster, although, from what I have heard, it is more dificult to drive.

MY03!?...are you trying to say your 2003 WRX STi

They are both hediously ugly in my opinion but I would take the STI based on my experience and that alone. They pull harder and are faster on paper. The build quality from subaru is far greater than that of mitsu.
