Do you think that more of the concept cars should be produced instead of being left on the shelf to gather dust? why?

i dont think you can just say like that - if there is a concept car and it gets a good enough response then itll certainly be put in production e..g.Porsche Carrera GT.
But if its something like the POD form Toyota then no - since theres no amrket for it, and it wasnt designed to be producted - it was just fun for the toyota designers.

Concept cars like i.e Pod, r the efforts of the designers to give us a glimpse of how the cars will look like in the near future.They r not meant to be into production. As Mallon said if a concept gathers to much attention it has many possibilities to be into produ. Take the Brera i.e. It was released as a concept , the FIAT people said that it wou;dn't come out but the car had so much response that it will be released. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Well the Toyota executives should get the shotguns out if the POD is "a glimpse of things to come"

well it was never meant for production - but it was probably designed just to show how cars coudl be more economical and smaller (important in Japan). In the city someone who owns a car like that could ask why do you need a quater of a million litre dodge viper?
