What do you think of the VW R32. Could it be the arch competitor to the TT

0-60 in 6.5 sec/3.2 liter V6(norrow angled)/sounds like a 4 cylinder...they say/ pulls most of it's torque @ 3000 rpms. I think that it will be a sure competitior for the TT

For that kinda money you could get an Evo, which is better in nearly every single way possible. But the R32 is still a good car, dont get me wrong. :!:

Even whough i dont like jap cars that much............you got a point there, EVO is a hell more sporty, and 4.9sec 0-62mph sprint is not bad ata all for a 4 cyl

nah the TT is in a way higher league

Alfa Romeo 156 GTA
Aug 01, 2003, 11:10 PM
Nah the TT is indeed a diffrent car .....
I already don't like it they does compare him with the 147GTA!

THe Alfa is faster from 0-100! That's very good job of Alfa , 4wd against FWD!!
And than on the cover of every page VW BEATS AN ALFA ON THE TRACK!!!!!!!

YEAH so what ?? you compare a 4wd car against an FWD car>? WTF do you want?
If someone saw , BBC Top gear , they said th same!

They said to , There was no manufacturer who brought 250 or only 210 hp better to the front wheels TThan ALFA ROMEO!

SO COMPARE A FWD CAR than we'll see ........

grr... greetz : Danny!

Mmmmmm, the R32 is one tastey peice of machinery. It's got an all new 3.2 Liter V6 that spits 240 hp out quite easily through a 4Motion drivetrain. The suspension is top notch and the braking systems is this close to being fully track ready. You can compare it to the Jap Rallies, but 0-60 times aside, the VW has them spanked on braking, interior comfort, fit-n-finish, and general build quality. We are talking about Audi grade designed and built interior. With crappy stock tires, the R32 doesn't match up with Skipad tests and is further away from the Evo 8 and WRX. I'm sure with minimal tuning, the 'pull all day' V6 can kick out some frightening power and have it available in the blink of the eye. Much respect to the Evo 8 and WRX, but I'll take something that's more classy and clean on the inside and more unique on the outside. By next year, EVERYONE and their mom will have either the Subaru or Mitsubishi rally rocket. 4motion never looked so good.

:( whats the matter with everyone. I like japanese cars (well some of them anyway).
im into modified cars - i buy magazines like fast car, redline, revs, max power, japanese performance motors, mini world, mini magazine andf a few motorbike ones aswell.
But for real cars i look to things like my jaguar e-type 5.3 v12. Anybody that is british should be proud to have sports cars like the e-type, tr6, stag and so on.
anybody want to chat/argue over any of the above, then we can do so on msn messenger, me addy is biguk15@hotmail.com :)

I think that an Evo is actually $28K, not £28k. I would take the TT with the same engine over the R32, and I would also take the Lancer Evolution over either the TT or R32.

gainsayer, give it up!

anyway, i think the R32 is way better than the TT. The R32 is small, fast, edgy and way more associated with racing than the TT. Come on, Justin Timberlake has one. How high performance can it be if a wash up pop star has one? The R32 is in a diffrent class. The TT is more for the Artsy-Fartsy type. Thats definetly not me.

Justin Timberlake has a TT??? :? :?
Man, I lost all respect towards Audi!!!
From now on, I hate the TT!!!

(lol just kidding, it's a great car, I just hoped that more serious people would buy it)

I actually don't like the TT that much, especially now that I know that Justin Timberlake has one, but I was thinking that the TT woould be lighter because it is a 2+2, but i may be wrong. I think that I would rather have a r32 now, actually.

actually, i think, he bought it for Briteny Spears, but when she broke up with him, he just kept it. Ok, i feel pretty feminine talking about pop stars.

I know a story about these two guys(Brit and Justin) with a car.
I heared that they went to Bahamas or something for vacations and they rent a Ferrari...
Well, they were in the high road of this country and Justin put the 5th gear and more than 200Km/h.Suddendly he saw a dog,an animal or something but not straight ahead on them...Well Justin didn't push the brakes,he just put 2nd from 5th and he paid the gearbox...   I don't know if its true but they say so...

jimkk29

I woudn't be surprised if it were true. Such 'beings' as Justin and Britney do not have any reason to exist. God truly made a mistake when He created them...
