sure is a nice car - but Ive always wondered why they put 6 gears with a 2L Diesel? - It deosnt rev that high, and it aint a sports car!

Me2....it is a strange feeling when u drive this car in fifth gear....u have one more but it really doesnt seems to be necessary...it is probably there 4 lower fuel consumption

maybe - but an Audi Diesel would never have fuel conspumtion problems anyway - still im sure it makes the car a little more fun to drive.

That is for sure...I forgot to mention excellent 17" alloy wheels with great Dunlop SP Sport tires, wich are also making unique feeling when u are watching this car from outside and what is more important it contributes driving performances..

OK, it may not suck completely, but many people (including me) would never buy a diesel car. Besides, diesels are forbidden here in Athens where I live, so they are not icluded in dealers' official pricelists.

there is a simular engine in the A6 ...
and if im not wrong the engine is in the golf too....

yea, i have the new A3 1.6 sport, its very cool and pretty quick. fantastically well designed. audi really are a company for those who know, because im sure a lot of you know, those who know......... know! :wink:

I own the Audi A3 1.6 FSi Ambition (115hp), it has also a 6 gearbox, it has Bridgestone Potenza RE040 not Dunlop SP Sport (i believe its different from country to country), and i could say it's quick!. And jimk29, the A3 with the 3.2 engine is not the new S3, the new S3 is coming this summer ('04). Specs: 2.0 engine, twin turbo and about 280hp! ! !

Yes, I know that now. I was kinda hoping that Audi would produce a more hardcore version than the 3.2. The 3.2 is quite fast but not very sporty.
