Well all of them are VERY different.
The Cobra is a 60's race car basically.
The ZO6 offers AWESOME performance for the $$$$.
The Viper is a tuff new age muscle car, and I do like the new ones.
The Ford GT40 is also a 60's era race car.

AC Cobra
- except the AC Cobra is English, It used to be made just outside the village where I live. It was exported to America by Carrol (?spelling) Shelby and fitted with a bigger Ford Engine (called Shelby Cobra 427), AC then caught on and did the same in the UK.
It is one of the most copied cars for kit car designs in England, beaten only by the Lotus 7.

- Also the original GT40 was designed in England, by Ford UK (with american & european designers). But I dont know where it was built...

i still think lola was part of the GT40 program. But it was technically an american car. And what i mean by technically is that in my eyes it was as american as apple pie and rednecks.

definately the viper first, and then the cobra

But it was technically an american car.

I only think the the GT40 was english is because my current employer is Martin Colvill who raced a GT40 in the LeMans in the 60's and won! So I pick up a lot of info about the car, and there was a programme on TV about a year ago on the development of the GT40 (but check here for more info! (http://www.fordvehicles.com/fordgt/index.asp?bhcp=1)). He still has the car and is often used for photo shoots:

That's him driving in 2003 at LeMans Legend.
If the official website says its american, please let me know! I like learning stuff about cars!

no but the point is it was just an exercise and nobody expected it to be produced, and chrysler is good with quickly bringing concepts to production

gt40 for me, old one though, new ones are to heavy and they stuffed the aero dynamics. Plus all of you saying the 427 is pick of the cobras are fools since the size down (351 i think) was much quicker cause the 427 block was way too heavy kinda defeating the piont of the car

there was never a 351 in the cobra it only had the 289 and later the 427

Apr 11, 2004, 12:41 AM

MattMerce

Apr 11, 2004, 12:48 AM
yeah, but the 427 sold to the americans so they stuck with that
